"I want to tell you of the great experience I had with J&J Elite Carpentry. The relationship with them started with the owner Jose Lugo. We had to replace two old staircases that were falling off the wall and also to install hardwood floors in a foyer at the bottom of one of the staircases. After looking over the whole job and taking measurements Jose assured us that the job we needed and wanted could be done. This was important to us because the house is very old and you can imagine that it is not easy to work in old homes. Joseâ s team had to create a staircase around an old sewer pipe in the basement, it was a tricky job and they did a great job of creating a solid staircase to incorporate the pipe - they created the staircase on site. Leo, the head carpenter, ensured that the crew did a good job throughout. Any issues or concerns we had were taken care of. The project ran two days longer than we all expected but that was necessary and they did a beautiful job. Jose was attentive to what was going on and stopped by to see how the work was coming along - he was very pleasant to work with. They stand by their work and that is extremely important. And they cleaned up everything before they left. They did an excellent job - we are happy. We highly recommend J&J Elite Carpentry for your staircases and hardwood floors."

"I hired D Design Woodworking to build a floor mirror utilizing an antique mirror from an English armoire. We discussed the design, the type of wood (maple) to be used and the stain color. I received the mirror yesterday and I couldnâ t be happier. The mirror looks great in the frame and Iâ m extremely impressed with the workmanship. The mirror is very substantial and the stain matches our new bedroom furniture perfectly. I cannot recommend D Design more highly."

"It went really really good. I have an old house. It was built in the 1700's. Santo is a master carpenter and did a great job. The kitchen, the cabinets, sheetrock, spackling, woodwork, moulding, maple floors,were all done professionally and came out great. He worked very patiently with me and my wife. "Wilber's is excellent and went above and beyond what we contracted the company to do. Got three quotes from different vendors and Wilber's had the most competitive pricing. The job manager, Eric, was excellent at communicating about the work and steps needed to complete the job. Wilber's even helped to order the doors that they needed to install from a local vendor they recommended. You could not ask for more in terms of craftsmanship, communication, and consideration. For example, the workers even returned after the job to clean up an inconsiderate bird that treated my newly painted white house like a personal toilet. I would recommend the company to anyone in NJ looking to do work on their home."

Complete renovation of kitchen/dining room, removing a wall, new exterior doors and windows, siding, etc. Extremely happy with the craftmanship of the finished product, but also the communication and process along the way. Dave and Marvin don't rush around frantically to jump to the next project. "Kassi scheduled our work very promptly and another staff member followed up on the details. Everything went smoothly on the day, and took less time than I expected. John was friendly and efficient -- taking care of business in short order. Replacing the light fixtures by our front door was a little tricky re: the cedar siding, but he effortlessly adapted the installation to the situation. Perfect! The old wooden post mailbox was rotted and barely standing...he took it all away, dug a deep new hole and installed the steel post, using quick setting concrete, and fitted the new mailbox. He even scalped some sod to leave on top... When John was finished, you would have thought the mailbox had always been there. I plan on calling on Mr. Handyman, and John, in the future."
