"Santos was quick to get in touch with me and provide an honest fair estimate. I hired him and he did the job the next day. He is a true professional and really knows what heâ s doing. He educated me on how to care for the carpet and how to avoid any problems with stretching and pulling. He did a beautiful job with re-stretching our carpets in 3 large rooms. He was neat, patient and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Santos. He was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to hiring him again in the future and recommending him to others. Thank you Santos for a very professional job. It looks so much better now."

"Martin arrived in time, figured out a creative solution to stretching my 20 year old carpet, shampooed it afterward, and it really looks great. I am enjoying my home hallway so much more without the wrinkles in my carpet! wish I did it sooner"

"Could not be more happy or satisfied. Bogarts offered many choices for our new flooring ideas. Settled on some beautiful luxury vinyl and a bit of carpeting for stairs. Price was fair and they worked with us to schedule comfortably during some COVID times. The installation team did a fantastic job removing old carpeting and baseboards. New flooring and carpeting was meticulously installed by true professionals. Finished with beautiful new baseboards to complete the amazing improvement to our home."

"Everything went great! From the estimate to completion, I could not have asked for a better experience with this project. David, the owner, came out to do the estimate. He was courteous and knowledgeable and explained the process to us so that we understood it. He also identified the type of wood that we had, something no other company told us. The estimate came out a touch higher than the other guys, but we had more confidence in using this company based on the initial estimate process. As for the work, Oscar and his team did a great job! They moved our furniture with care and put it where we asked them to. They were punctual and on schedule throughout the whole process. They were courteous and very easy to deal with. They took the time to make sure we we were happy with how the floors were looming and asked us if we wanted to add items, such as a block of wood that transitions the wood floor to our slider and to rooms with carpeting. There was hardly any dust, as promised!! And they did a great job! Our floors look terrific."

"I called Empire Carptet Center for an estimate, which they gave me over the phone after I described what I needed done.
The next morning they were at my house, stretching the carpet. The two men were polite, professional, and got right to work. Within 45 minutes the job was completed. The carpet pieces that were cut out were put in a garbage bag.
Because I had mentioned Angie's List, I was given a discount on this service.  With the discount, the price was $20 less than another carpet dealer.
I am pleased with their work, and would use them again."

"

This is the third time I have used this provider - had my carpet floors replaced in my condo (throughout) with engineered hardwood and laminate in 2012. That job was flawless and the owner (Nancy) held my hand every step of the way and listened to ALL my comments, concerns, needs. Then they installed carpet throughout my new home "in minutes" so out move-in timeline is maintained. this job was done during a snow storm no less!!!!

So when it came time to do hardwood in my new home Nancy was an obvious choice. This new job went just as well - all of my needs/wants were addressed. Nancy was very patient and held my hand through the material selection process as I had a very difficult time deciding on the color. She came up with different ways to make my decision easier and waited for me to be sure. Once the job was underway she kept me very well informed. The workers came up with very creative ways around any hurdles that came up and the result was fantastic!!!!!!!

Carpet Stretching FAQs, answered by experts

Maintenance practices include regular vacuuming, prompt spill cleaning, and periodic professional deep-cleaning to remove embedded dirt particles and rejuvenate fibers.

You can save money on labor costs by removing your old carpet before the professionals come in to install the new carpet. Just make sure to clear it with your contractor ahead of time. You might also be able to cut costs by buying carpet at certain times of year when it’s less expensive. These periods include late December to mid-January and late spring to early summer.

Deciding whether to clean or replace your carpet depends on its condition and age. If cleaning no longer resolves issues, it's time to consider a replacement. Key signs that you need to replace your carpet include:

  • Stains that are impossible to remove.

  • A persistent smell that lingers even after cleaning.

  • An increase in allergy symptoms.

  • The age of the carpet. Most manufacturers state that carpets should last about 10 years with proper care.

When cleaning is no longer effective, you should replace the carpet with a new one or consider other flooring options like vinyl or laminate.

Professionals ensure effective adhesion by choosing the right adhesive for the materials, preparing surfaces properly, and applying pressure as needed. This attention to detail ensures durable connections in various applications from construction to repairs.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.
