"If I could, I would give this horrible service provider a 0.0! I scheduled a plumbing appointment on a call, which was confirmed via multiple texts the day prior to the appt. Then had an employee go to the location during the 4 hour window they specified and wait for the plumber. On the day of the appt, 1 hour into the time window someone calls and says, sorry we’re not going to go because we only do residential plumbing. This was a surprise, as it was communicated to them that this was a business when I had set up the appt. So, I decided to speak with a manager. After spending over an hour of being bounced around from one dept to another, asking for a manager, they never connected me to one and their dispatcher had the audacity to say “sorry for your inconvenience, but you’ll just have to find someone else.” WOW! The hoops they make you jump through and the rudeness is not worth the hassle. I would definitely recommend you find a different plumbing pro for your project!"

While the part of the garbage disposal that attaches to the sink is universal, not every single disposal will work in every sink cabinet. A larger disposal may be too big to fit in a compact space, for example. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit.
