"2 days ago my refrigerator started to get warm and started giving high temperature alarms... then all the ice melted in the freezer. I chose Oceanic Repair because they were listed as the only Viking authorized repair service in my area and I didn't want to go with a general repair service since it might take them longer to diagnose the root cause of the issue. Filled in their contact web form with all my information including model number and serial number. a few hours later Arturo called me and gave me a description of their scheduling process. He called me back 2 hours later with an appointment, which was for the next day between 4:00 - 6:00pm. Arturo gave me the name of the technician who would be visiting and that he would call when he finished the job before mine. 2:30pm the next day, Wilson gives me a call and asks if he can visit early... he arrives at 3:00pm, I show him the issue and he begins diagnosing the issue. I told him to fix it but if it something major, let me know how much it will be first. 45 minutes later, the refrigerator is working and Wilson shows me the failed part and explains what likely caused its premature failure: a piece of shipping metal used to hold internal parts together during shipping was left in, blocking the main air vent in the top of the refrigerator. So the installer's mistake caused my 11-year-old part to fail early. Wilson then went through optimal temperature settings and gave me a receipt on the spot. The part and repair is guaranteed for 3 months. Since this is our first home, I have never called an appliance repair service before and am glad I called Oceanic. Plus, the part was OEM Viking and they charged me less than I could source the part on my own from all the online appliance part stores or even Ebay."
