They got back to me quickly with a written quote and a day to move. The contractor spoke to me by phone for final arrangements and the price was fair. They came on time, packed the furniture and were at my daughterâ s house in a short period of time. Pleased with process, pleased with service and pleased with price. I would use them again."

I received quotes from 10 different highly rated moving companies. Stefan from Sterling visited the apartment and provided a very competitive estimate. He was courteous, friendly and professional.  He quoted us a fixed, flat fee to pack and move our apartment.
Sterling seemed to have the best combination of professionalism and affordability.  And I liked the concept of a flat fee, as move day is less stressful when you're not hyper-focused on watching the clock.
Move day:
We have a young child, and thus needed a full service move as we did not have time to pack.  We literally didn't move a finger.  Sterling sent a 4 man crew that arrived at 9:30am.  They meticulously packed up all of our possessions, taking care with delicate items to ensure that everything would be well wrapped.  All of our items were successfully loaded out of our Manhattan elevator building and into their truck.  Upon arrival in Brooklyn, the team did the heavy lifting, carrying everything up 2 flights of stairs into our new 3rd floor brownstone apartment.
The 4 man crew was awesome.  Hard-working, professional and good natured.  All 4 were respectful of neighbors and friendly around my wife and young child.  In under 9 hours, they completed our full service move flawlessly.  I would highly recommend Sterling to anyone looking for a high quality moving experience.

Helen reached out to arrange things as soon as I requested a quote, and she was both thorough and flexible when I told her I would have some last second additions/subtractions to my move. On the day of the move, they were highly communicative about their arrival time and then swiftly packed all of my items and moved them in less time than I even booked. "Great team of folks. I had a last minute move that was rescheduled multiple times because I didn't get a clear to close. The day I got the clear to close, I had to vacate my apartment the same day. Dan was able to save the day by getting a truck to me in an hour. His team worked to get my apartment moved out of and into my home all in the SAME DAY!. All of my items were packed, moved and unpacked without damage and none of the items were missing. The moving team was super professional, nice and understanding to the rushed nature of the move. "Communication was unbelievably poor, I was promised phone calls back and never received them, I had to call multiple times, half the time no one answered, the other time the person I needed wasn't available and was told he'd call back but never did. I had used them in the past and did not require multiple phone calls to set everything up but we had more questions this time around. The price was by far the cheapest around and we had an overall good experience last time (other than they were 45-60 min late) and thought we'd use them again. However, this time, they were 1.5 hours late (had a good reason when they arrived but never called with a heads up and when I called them no one answered), some of our personal tools went missing (drill charger, battery, etc, we think they may have assumed they were theirs), and they didn't assemble some shelving properly so while it is still functional the pieces are no longer intact. As I said, the price was about$50-100/hr cheaper than other companies I looked at and we had used them in the past, but after this second move I likely would not use them again."
