"We worked with Brian and his team at Coventry to turn a tiny 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, single floor "shack" (as my wife put it) in Oakhurst, NJ, into what is seriously the nicest 2-floor (plus full third-floor open storage) home in the neighborhood. 1k sq ft. to >2.5k. We could not be happier with the result, and have been recommending him to family and friends. Brian was meticulous, diligent, forward-thinking (which helped us save money/avoid issues in a lot of areas), and the quality of the work / materials is outstanding (our tenured handyman was just recently highly praising the craftsmanship throughout). Costs were kept under control, despite the inflationary backdrop. We wanted to make a massive open-floor great room, which other contractors said would be too difficult (support beams, load-bearing walls, etc), but Brian made it work. We wanted to raise the ceiling height by 1 ft, which another contractor said would make the project too expensive, but Brian made it work. Similarly, we had ambitions for the added second floor that were not simple, but were guided through all those steps. Late in the project we decided to also redo the kitchen entirely, and Brian helped us budget it in and navigate all the decisions. Cabinets, counter tops, flooring, bathroom details, doors, windows, etc -- we were given great advice and ideas along the way, and transparency on impacts to the budget. We were also steered away from cheap, lower-quality options, as Brian put it: "I am married to this house for the decades ahead, I can't allow you to make decisions that you'll regret." We appreciated having a builder who takes pride in the work. The project took about 8 months from when we got permits (which Coventry took care of... turnkey from architectural plans to the finished home). There were other homes being built/renovated 5-10 minutes away that we noticed started earlier and ended later. Compared to other quotes for the scope of our project, Coventry's all-in price likely falls in-line with the average, but with the result of much greater than average quality work and attention. Would highly recommend Brian and his team for anyone doing a large job on their home or a complete new build."

"Just a few years ago, we hired Double D to remove all of the old bright yellow siding (40 years old) and remove both layers of old roofing. The goal was to replace the roof and figure out the best options for us regarding the siding. The owner came out, met with us, presented options and associated costs quite clearly. Ultimately, we choose a lovely shade of sage green siding and a gray roof. We could not be happier. The employees were polite and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner (less than two weeks) and still looks great. We had zero problems with Double D. I plan on using them again to update a section of the siding that had previously been covered by a back deck. IMPORTANT NOTE: My neighbors replaced their siding with another company even though we advised them that Double D’s pricing was spot on and extremely professional, with attention to detail. Five months after their siding was installed, huge swaths of siding fell off! And their contractor was no where to be found. That’s when they asked for Double D! You will not regret utilizing Double D and will appreciate the variety of services available."
