"I first submitted my information to this company through their website. I received no response to that. I then called them twice to give my information. Each time I called, they told me I would hear from somebody in two to three days. I didn't receive a reply until I left a negative review. By the time I heard from someone named Ed, I already had another company out to inspect the damage in my home. I told Ed I'd get back to him if it didn't work out with that company. That company didn't get back to me for me to pay them and provide the estimates. I decided to try submitting my information for a project on Yelp. I received interest from one company. That company didn't call when they said they would, so it seemed like it was going to fall through with them. I called back Ed to set up a day and time to come out to visit. I ended up hearing from the company that I found after submitting my project to Yelp, and it seemed like they were going to come through with the estimates I needed. I called Ed back to cancel our appointment because I didn't want him wasting his time coming if this other company was going to provide the estimates. This other company wasn't calling when they said they would, getting back to me days later when I wasn't sure if I was ever going to hear from them again. I decided to call Ed to reschedule another appointment. This time he told me his boss didn't want to be involved with providing estimates if they're going to be used in a lawsuit. He referred me to another company, which didn't respond. After getting the runaround from two other companies, Ed and AW Martin got rid of me by referring me to a company that also didn't want to get involved. If a company has a problem with their estimates being used in a lawsuit, that sends up a red flag for me. It's frustrating, but I'm quickly learning how to deal with contractors. Don't tell them what you intend to use their estimates for. Fortunately, I've found a fifth company that I believe is going to provide the estimates I need. I was honest with them and told them why I needed the estimates, and they're even willing to appear in court to back up those estimates for a fee. In that case, I'm sure I can trust them, and their estimates will help me greatly with my lawsuit."

"I hired Tony to replace my roof which included a new attic fan and new gutters. He also replaced a very large bay window for me. I cannot say enough good things about him. The price was fair, the workmanship excellent and all his staff professional and courteous. I asked Tony about another window and he suggested I might be able to find someone to repair it rather than paying to replace it. You can’t ask for a more honest businessman! Five stars all around. "Anthony Nastasi, hired by me to rebuild our decaying bay window, did a terrific job. When he came out to survey our prospective job, he listened closely to what we wanted, took notes, did measurements, and made suggestions. Later that day he sent my a proposal, detailing the materials and total cost of the project. Ultimately, the final cost was only about $300 more as additional material was needed. Mr. Nastasi worked a full day each day he was here. He also was honest and direct - he told me when he would arrive in morning, and he did. He told me when he had to complete another job so he might have to leave early or miss a day. Many Subs aren't professional enough to simply tell the truth. He always did. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work he did, the time frame in which he completed the job and, most importantly, how it looks. I would unequivocally recommend Anthony Nastasi to anyone. "We just completed our basement project. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks and we just hit 7.5 weeks. The coordination of each step of the process was fantastic. The only downside is the workers came 1 time per week each of the 7 weeks. I think maybe one week more than 1 crew came, but each stage was done 1 day out of the week once a week (ex: Tuesday the framers came, the following week: Friday the electrician came, the following week: Wednesday the sheet rock guys came, etc.). It would have gone much quicker if each stage was back to back days, but again we were told 6-8 weeks from day one and thatâ s what we got. Gail (who is the point of contact for coordination and payments) was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and helpful. Every team except the spackle team was super clean and picked up after themselves. Paint team was fantastic! The final product is exactly what we were looking for. We definitely recommend Basic Basements!"
