Our experience with Basic Basements was great from start to finish. Gail, the scheduling coordinator, was very responsive and helpful every step of the way keeping us informed about what work was going to be done next. John, our project manager, was great and made sure all the work was completed efficiently and on time. The work crews coming in and out were outstanding. They were very respectful of our home, worked nonstop until the work was finished, and did an excellent job cleaning up every day. The biggest, and only, headache we encountered was waiting for inspections from our town, which is completely out of Basic Basements' control. We are very pleased and would 100% use them again.

One of the best contractor I have worked with. I am done multiple projects in my house, but I have never work with such professional contractor. Starting with explaining project, getting permit, working with township inspectors, sending materials, crews, project manager, end to end work completion and finally their Coordinator Gail was super. Sales experience was awful. Ask for an actual contractor to come by with the sales person. Our sales person left a lot of details out (waterproofing even though we showed him the water issue; told us the flooring pricing would have to come after framing because of a lump on the floor that needed to be addressed- all could have been put in original quote if a contractor had examined the situation as we found out much later on). Staff (other than the sales person) were helpful and professional. Overall work was good. But, extremely slow. Almost 6 mo for water proofing and semi finishing of basement (no bathroom, just the basics). On average they completed one activity over one or two days per week.

Great communication from day 1, we are totally happy with making the decision on having this company to finish our basement. Pricing is excellent compared with other contractors. Any small issues were taken care immediately. Gail our project coordinator is awesome she was on top of everything. I would like to have a company like this for any project at my house.

Our small basement renovation project went so smoothly. Our PM, Mike was on top of everything and made sure we were informed and happy throughout the project. We are thrilled with our new basement! We wanted a simple but nice finished space for our kids and that's exactly what we got. John and the rest of the team were amazing to work with. We felt very overwhelmed with the process when meeting with other contractors, but the Basic Basement company took care of everything from start to finish. Their communication is excellent, kerping me up-to-date on the process and scheduling the various contractors like electricians, inspectors, etc. They were also very reasonably priced compared to many other contractors we met with. I highly recommend and would 100% use them again if we ever needed them for another project

They were communicative throughout the project from start to finish, which is one of our biggest needs when working on projects like this, and they did a great job of taking us through each step of the process smoothly. We ended with a couple of basement spaces that we love, including our gym area that (pictured) and a living room area (not yet painted, but that's on us) and a storage area.
