"Just a shoutout to Dylan and his team for their great work in installing my French drain I have a condo in NYC and NYC law prevents workers from doing construction work after 6 pm. My job was much harder due to the concrete flooring, so it took much longer to complete the job than was expected. As 6 pm passed, Dylan was required by the building manager to cease work before the job was completed. Dylan was concerned about finishing the job, so he contacted me early the next morning to make set up an appointment for later in the day to complete the installation. His team worked as fast as they could to complete their assigned work for the day. They arrived at my condo around 2. Dylan and his team completed the work by 5:30 so as not to have the situation that occurred the day before to repeat itself. "it went amazing. Even though it was not a very large job, Ed came out three times to discuss project and my reservations. He was punctual, very informative and very congenial. I hired him and although we had some delays caused by wet weather, he finished the job earlier this month. His crew was outstanding in every way. Ed came by every day to make sure everything was going perfectly and it was. Everything was cleaned up meticulously and the crew even did a few extra things esthetically to make up for the slight delay caused by weather. "I mostly interfaced with Anthony but did speak with John and the company receptionist. All were very pleasant, professional, and super easy to work with. Anthony was understanding, patient, and helped me decide which work should be prioritized in order to stay within my budget. The Essex & Morris work crew arrived as scheduled, did excellent work, and didn’t leave a mess afterwards. I wish I had known of them the first time I had mason work done at my home as I wouldn’t have had to settle for inferior workmanship. My apologies to E&M for not writing this review sooner. The sidewalk sections and driveway asphalt paving were excellent! I highly recommend using Essex & Morris."

"Larry came out and did an analysis of our exterior drainage system, as we were having some puddling issues in the front and rear of our yard. We had just moved into the home a few months prior and Larry also did an analysis of our basement as we were having some concerns about the slightly bowed wall in our basement. Larry was very thorough and took a lot of time to go through the details of the exterior french drainage system he would install. He responded back to us in a timely manner and was extremely reasonable with their quote compared to other bids we had received from other contractors.
Larry and his team came out to the house and made quick work of a tedious job.  They took good care to keep the job-site as tidy as possible. Although Larry changed from the original plan, we felt comfortable with this as he was very thorough when explaining the reasons behind the change and we felt he had our best interest at heart. If we had any questions Larry was always available to answer them for us even when we called at 9pm.
We had a walkway that they had to cut through in order to run the piping for the drainage and Larry even added concrete to fix the walkway even though it wasn't in our original proposal.
We feel like with the work that was completed we got an excellent price and we have the peace of mind knowing that the job was done properly.

"Malik runs a very professional operation. From the time of initial phone contact with Malik (yes, he does answer his own phone) to the final post-job cleanup, this was a hassle-free project for me. Malik's crew showed up promptly each morning, and under the supervision of Malik or his equally capable foreman ("Mr. Z"), every detail of this work was performed in a skilled, highly competent and precise manner. Once begun (except for rain days), the job was continued through completion. Worth noting also is the fact that, although he was aware of my budget limitations, Malik was able to deliver a first-class job which the quality of the finished product reflects. I would enthusiastically recommend him to any Angie's List member (and will be contacting him myself for all future work on my house).
