"They installed a patio in my backyard with Cambridge pavers which turned out absolutely beautiful. The design and pattern is just outstanding. They also put a belgium block border on both sides of my driveway on a 35 degree angle which added the final touch to the Cambridge paver driveway that Classical pavers did a few years ago. The crew that did this project and my driveway are very professional and polite. I have recommended Classical Pavers to many family and friends. The owner is very honest and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They are the best around without a doubt."

"Met Tommy Checher the project manager just after an unusually heavy rainstorm flooded basement and  a sunroom - patio (which was below grade). He took time to carefully discuss various options in the basement and outside the house. We decided to hold off on the basement (which was not the major area of concern) and address the outside drainage. A large crew arrived promptly at 9am the day promised. Tommy returned to supervise the project. Everything was completed amazingly fast and was properly measured, graded and installed. The entire operation was a model of professionalism. These people really know what they are doing and are very well organized. Also, refreshingly, there was no high pressure sales pitches or scare tactics. (I have some experience with these issues and know what is a real problem that needs to be addressed and what is hype). If you read my other reviews you'll see I tell it like it is, I don't just write glowing reviews. While the system they installed has yet to be tested by heavy rains, it was done properly and seems likely to address the problem. I will update this review if problems do occur but I have the feeling that this is the kind of company that stands behind their work and knows exactly what they are doing.

Patios questions, answered by experts

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.

A Florida room is a home addition that has finished walls with windows lining the perimeter, while a screened-in porch, also known as an Arizona room, lacks windows and instead has screens to maintain constant ventilation. Florida rooms provide longer enjoyment throughout the year because they’re closed off and will naturally get heated from the sun, while a screened-in porch will just be the same temperature as the ambient air.
