This is actually the second time I’ve used this great company and their work a year ago helped my wife/I sell our old home with some much needed renovations (in a tough market to sell) as we looked to purchase our forever home. Once we bought our new home the only thing needed was a finished basement for our growing family, so I contacted Harry (owner) from the Bathroom and Kitchen King for an estimate, as well as multiple other contractors. Harry was extremely professional, courteous, and his responsiveness is something you just can’t say enough good things about. Although my wife/I had some ideas for the basement, Harry made some outstanding recommendations/ suggestions to stay within our budget while at the same time ensuring we would be satisfied with the plans. The entire work crew showed up timely everyday and were extremely polite, which is a testament to the company overall and I thought their work ethic was/is admirable. With regards to price, we did meet with about six (6) total contractors for the basement that had a wide range in terms of overall cost ($22K - $60K), however nobody offered the complete end-to-end support for the entire project except the Bathroom and Kitchen King. The Bathroom and Kitchen King stayed within our budget and although slightly higher than some contractors, we trusted Harry and his Team to complete the entire project and they constantly provided updates to keep us satisfied. We’re extremely pleased Harry helped us out and we will absolutely use the Bathroom and Kitchen King again for any future projects in our home. "We used Merryfield for this siding project, which was part of a kitchen remodel.  Our contractor did not specialize in siding and asked that we have the work performed by someone else.  We needed siding installed where a window was being eliminated to make room for additional cabinets.  The process was easy for this project, from estimate to completion.  They worked within the requests of our kitchen contractor and the work was done quickly.  The siding on our house is old and not readily available.  Merryfield was able to source the replacement siding even after we were told by another company that this was not possible.

Overall, Jesse and his team were wonderful to work with.  They were all very respectful and nice.  The team tried to leave as much as the wiring and the floor as possible, as not to demo everything.  In the demolition process, however, some of the screws for the light fixtures went missing (not a terrible thing, but a small hassle).  The whole process took about a week, and the drain and the walls were fixed.  Our house doesn't smell moldy anymore which is a great plus!  Two small things which bothered me slightly after the fact, was that the foreman, Bryan, said he would return a window insert for our basement window, which he hasn't done yet (it keeps air from entering the basement).  Also, instead of unscrewing some piping around the dryer vent, it seems that they have just ripped it out (but that was an easy fix on our end...we just got a new aluminum pipe for the dryer).

The team put plastic sheeting down to protect the furniture on the first floor where they had to come in and out of to get to the basement (we don't have basement access).  They also did a cursory cleaning before they left each day, which I appreciated.  It wasn't a deep clean, but that wasn't expected either. 

Jesse offered, kindly, to help us find some contractors who could help replace the drywall/studs and retile our floor; however, his contacts were all busy and weren't able to help us.  We ended up contacting some contractors through Angie's list to help us return our basement to its finished self. 

It has been about a week and half after the work was completed, and the system seems to be working (and we have had some crazy rain storms).  Although there is a puddle of water that collects around the lid of the sump pump, which worries me slightly.  I have called Jesse to ask him if that's normal, but otherwise the work was well done!
