"I had a tree removed with stump grinded and another tree trimmed. They scheduled and communicated when they would be arriving. They made sure that the work was completed to my satisfaction and did a good job cleaning up after the work was complete."

"I am extremely satisfied with all of my experiences working with Hecks tree service including tree removal and stump removal for both my personal house and also hundreds of my solar customers. He always goes above and beyond to make sure the customers are happy. His pricing is unbeatable where most companies are inflating the costs Jordan gives the most fair prices around. I know this because I?ve worked with tree companies for over a decade now. I can?t thank Jordan and his crew enough for all that they do. I can confidently refer anyone to him without having to worry. ??"

"I am very happy with the service provided by CC Tree Experts. They will be the first company I call for this service from now on. 1) Responsive. They were the first ones out with a quote (within a day). My prior service took a week to get a guy out. 2) Fair. Of the quotes I got, they had a fair price.. no over charging. 3) Efficient. On the day of, they were running by 8 am with all vehicles and tools. They were basically done by 11:30. 4) Safe. I watched them slice and dice a tall old tree with control and precision. 5) Clean. The tree and area was chocked with overgrowth and vines. They navigated it all and left the ground clean and debris free. It did take 3 weeks to get work started. I blame that on their high demand. Book early."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.

You will know that an oak tree needs to be removed when you see vertical cracks or dead branch stubs, which indicate internal decay. Other signs include trunk rot near the base of the tree and sprouts or small branches coming from the trunk.

Yes, pruning makes trees stronger because it fosters proper growth, weight distribution, and balance of the crown. By increasing the structural integrity of the tree through pruning, it’s less likely to experience disease, pests, broken limbs, and storm damage. Pruning the right branches and limbs is key to improving a tree’s strength and balance.

While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.
