"Michael was great. He returned my phone call later that night, and came out the next day to take a look at what needed to be done. He was really easy to work with for scheduling, and very reasonable with his prices. Within a week or so he had his crew out to our house, and they went over the whole side with a fine tooth comb. They made sure the brick pointing was good on our chimney, too, and replaced the cap that was missing (that we hadn't even noticed was gone!). Lots of attention to detail, and if you hadn't known there was missing mortar and cracks, you'd never know there was any work done at all - which is how masonry repair is supposed to be. We'll definitely be using Michael again for our house."
"Q&S masonry showed up on schedule both for the estimate and to accomplish the work. Workmen were very approachable, professional and provided excellent service. Would definitely recommend this company and use them again."
"Kevin upgraded the brick steps of my South Philadelphia rowhouse by installing bluestone treads and landings. He did a terrific job using quality materials and tools, thoroughly cleaned up afterwards, was reliable and communicative, and charged a reasonable price for a challenging job. I highly recommend KMJ Masonry and would not hesitate to call on them again."
"Steve gave me an estimate on a Friday and less than a week he was here to repoint my chimney. He did a great job, and cleaned everything up. He will be back in the near future to re point my brick foundation. Would highly recommend him"
"I can't even begin to describe how pleased we are with the work that Milecas and his crew did. He not only understood our vision but exceeded it. Milecas installed a patio with 2 seat walls, one with a back wall, the other with columns, both with lighting. He also installed a patio door landing with steps and lighting. Both the patio and steps were beautiful but the thing that struck me most about Milecas is his integrity and dedication to his work. The work was finished according to the schedule that we agreed on and on budget. Talking of budget, we talked to 6 contractors including Milecas and Milecas has the lowest cost and we got more for our money. I highly, without any reservation, recommend him to anyone looking to do this type of work."
"I hired Aztec for major repairs due to termite damage. They were prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They came in less than 10 days after we contacted them to FINISH the work. First, they evaluated the damage and walked me through the needed repairs which included placing three new steel support beams along with two main horizontal wood beams and several sistered beams. They were able to complete the work, once they started, in three days. At each step, I was informed of progress and there were no surprises (from my end). The work included everything from removing electrical wiring and then replacing it, pouring the new steel vertical support beams, affixing them solidly into my concrete floor, and then pacing the numerous horizontal beams. I could not recommend AZtec (and Greg!) more."
"Pierce L Shallis Landscaping and Design is a wonderful company to hire! Great customer service, excellent communication and a very fair price. A beautiful job was completed on our property supervised by an excellent site manager."
"In preparation we moved everything in the basement away from the walls like they asked, although some of the shelves that I built could not be moved more than ~24 inches away from one of the walls. The next day the crew of three came over promptly at 8 AM. I told the crew leader about the shelves and he said that the space may be sufficient depending on the how far the footer underneath came in from the walls (as it turned out it was fine). They also moved the heavy concrete utility sink out of the way without damaging it. They crew hung plastic to partition the untouched sections of the basement and the rest of the house. I was told that the job was to take two days and it did. They cleaned up as best they could--vacuuming the stairs and didn't leave any debris or trash inside or out, although there was a light coating of dust on the everything in the basement which I expected. When they finished they walked me though the basement and everything looked great so I was glad to pay them as agreed in the contract. I am very pleased with the job, although I was slightly dissatisfied with the concrete pored over the drain because it wasn't always level with the existing floor and wasn't totally troweled smooth (I ended up floating the sections of the patch myself to level and get a better finish). Overall I think those are minor criticisms it was was a more than satisfactory experience."
In Cherry Hill, repairing masonry is often more practical and cost-effective than full replacement, especially for preserving historic details or mature landscaping. Local suppliers make it easier to find matching materials, and many neighborhoods value maintaining original features. However, if there are widespread cracks or structural concerns, replacement may be the better long-term solution for your home.

Spring is ideal after the last frost, while fall provides stable weather. Winter is generally avoided for outdoor work due to freezing risks, but indoor masonry projects can still move forward.

When starting masonry work in Cherry Hill, always check for underground utilities before digging, as the area often has dense infrastructure. Protect yourself from dust by wearing a mask, especially if working on older homes that may have lead paint. Keep the work area dry to prevent slips, and use proper lifting techniques for heavy materials to avoid injury.

Homeowners in Cherry Hill often encounter hidden costs like fees for utility location services, extra labor for working around tight spaces, or added drainage solutions due to clay soil. Matching older bricks or stone can also increase expenses. Weather delays—such as sudden summer storms or high humidity—may extend project timelines and add to overall labor costs.
