"The first time I hired Velez Home Improvement was 5yrs ago for some carpentry work wich they did a great job and Ive used them a couple more times after. Recntly, I contacted them in Nov 2020 for small project to fix some things against an insurance claim which included clearing some clogged drains. We discovered due to old piping, It was best to replace it and instead of ripping cabinets off the wall Velez Home improvement helped me save thousands by accessing the back of the house to replace pipes. Rodney Velez, the owner, gave my project 1st priority due to the major plumbing issue and worked with me on pricing. His level of focus and customer service was A+! I highly recommend this company due their expertise and high level of customer service."

"Dan is great. Competent, reliable, tidy, personable, prompt. I trust him enough to leave him the house key. He’s cleans up so well I’d never know he’d been there, except the work has been done."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Almost all houses require soffits. The exception is in houses where you know without a shadow of a doubt there is adequate airflow throughout the entire house including, and most importantly, the attic. Almost all modern homes have soffits installed whether you notice them or not because on most homes, the roof eave extends beyond the walls of the home, naturally creating soffits.

Discuss design preferences and material choices before work begins for cohesive results.

Most professional appliance removal companies will not expect a tip, but offering one is a good way to show appreciation for a job well done. A tip of 10% to 20% is a good idea if your professionals are working in the rain or snow, if they take extra care not to damage your walls and furniture in the removal process, or if they need to maneuver the appliance through tight spaces or up or down stairs to get it out of your home.

Hiring a handyperson offers several benefits. They can save you time and hassle by completing tasks you may not have the time or experience to do yourself. A key advantage is ensuring the project is done correctly, which can prevent future issues and save money in the long run. For projects that pose safety risks, hiring an experienced professional is a much safer option. Additionally, handypeople are often more available for smaller jobs that larger contractors may not have the schedule for.

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.
