+ -1 moreFor over 10 months I was called Ghetto and Weird by Ranee Patel. Ranee comes from a rich Indian family. She grew up sheltered so maybe that’s why she thinks everything and everyone that doesn’t fit her outlook on life is ghetto. In many occasions my co workers told me I should reach out to the department of Labor to find out if he fell under any type of work discrimination, because they where tired of her behind my back talking down on me. This woman is extremely judgmental and anyone with black descent should not work here for your own peace of mind. This company does not offer equal opportunities, with over 15 years of Union work experience, I have never dealt with this type of racism and discrimination. Called Ghetto and Weird is discrimination. My words are 100000% honest do not support this place

From our initial conversations with Carl, he was very through in answering all our questions and helped us select our doors. Steve was great with the scheduling process. Our installers Ricky and Angelo were wonderful, completely professional and our doors look fabulous!

From the time I call for service or a new product, their personnel are very understanding and professional. This last visit was to replace my 2 garage door openers as the ones purchased from them in 1987 had seen their day and were ready for newer technology. The tech, Scott Meister, who did the installation was extremely personable, informative andr did a great job. After completion, he took the time to answer any questions that I maight have had.

+ -1 moreI have used Overhead Door of Central Jersey for 22 years. (they did the original install when the house was new.) and they have always been honest with their recommendations, workmanship and pricing.
Description of Work: Scott M of Overhead Door company of Central Jersey came out today to fix one of three garage doors that would not close and was very wobbly in its movement. Scott immediately assessed the problem of not closing all the way with the safety eyes and then turned his attention to what was causing the back-and-forth movement of the door from the screw drive. A spring had broken on that door on one side, and instead of replacing the spring, since it broke at the very end, the homeowner (me) had simply reattached the spring. The problem was that the event had severely weakened the spring and causing the door to wobble from uneven springs on each side. With the approval he replaced both springs, pulleys, hardware etc. and the door is back to working as designed. Scott also informed me that the motor was 22 years old and would not last forever and we both agreed that with less weight on the motor I might be lucky and get a little bit extra time before it totally fails. Have used Overhead Door of Central Jersey for 22 years. (they did the original install when the house was new.) and they have always been honest with their recommendations, workmanship and pricing.

Her product specialist, Carl was kind, honest, reliable, and patient (as she had to work with her HOA for approval). She appreciated how kind and flexible Steven was during scheduling as well, and felt that her technicians Ricky and Jay went above and beyond during the install. They installed the new door beautifully, explained in detail what they did, and left the property spotless. Highly recommend working with them!

I was in sales in my career, and I have to say, Derek was a great sales person - deftly explained all the benefits and answered/overcame all my objections. AND he arrived fully prepared with real-size samples of door panels and colors. And I was equally impressed with the skilled installer Ricky who deftly removed my old doors and installed the new ones like it was no big deal. He was professional, very neat (no hint of any mess anywhere) and was efficient and also very pleasant. All in all a great team and company!

+ -1 moreThese folks did a great job for us - a good customer experience from start to finish. They answered the call right away, and were better than 2 other competitors on the phone. I decided to have them come out and do the job. The person came, was well prepared, and had a couple of options. We went over it, and then there was a misunderstanding about us having two doors, so he had to come back. They came back the next day and all was seamless, and we were charged a fair and reasonable price for the service. And the new garage door hinges look great!

I was expeting him to tell me I needed to replace these 20 year old doors but was pleasantly surprised when he told me he could replace the springs, cable and pulley and make these old doors work again. He finished up in about an hour and they were good as new. Well done Keven!

+ -1 moreRob and Jay did an outstanding job replacing deceased ceiling mounted motor with new wall mounted unit, dealing with various challenges of the building along the way. All wiring was properly and neatly secured. All debris from the installation was removed. They took the time to answer all of my questions and explained what they were doing and why. When they were done, everything looked great and functioned just as it should.

+ -1 moreIt went wonderfully. Ricky was here promptly and got straight to work. Peter arrived shortly after with the rest of the materials. They both took great care in replacing the rotted wood trim and installing new doors and hardware. The only thing I kept were the openers -- everything else is now better than ever. Ricky was not happy with the way the previous installers hung the braces and redid everything. The braces are now flush to the ceiling and everything looks very professional and neat. He was not happy with one simple thing, the rubber on the bottom of the door is a little too short, so he's coming back shortly to replace that. I appreciate the care taken with this installation and I am extremely happy with everything.

+ -1 moreI bought my house two years ago, and it has been an experience finding all of the things the very elderly previous resident wasn't able to keep up with. The garage door motor is older, and while it's on my list to update, there are other things going on. Unfortunately, one of the springs had other ideas, and broke with a very dramatic twanging noise. I called Overhead Door. When the scheduler told me they were "very backed up", I was expecting to wait a month, but it was only 10 days. They gave me an arrival window of 7:30-8:00 am, and David J. arrived around 7:35 and was done and ready to go shortly after 8am. He was super helpful and gave me some tips in case the other spring decides to also want attention. Hopefully it will hold out until I can replace the rest of the set up! Thanks Overhead Door!
