I made an appointment for today for someone to come over to my house. He never called me, e-mailed me or texted. HE NEVER SHOWED UP! I have been waiting all of this time for him to come. Our appointment was 10/06/2020 @ 11:00-1200 noon. If he could not make it, why didn't he just contact me & let me know that he couldn't make it. If this is the type of people Angie's list hires, i don't even want to use Angie's list!

DAVID SVANCAR Have you ever felt that stabbing dread of looking for a new contractor due to the sudden urge of adrenaline coursing through your veins - your body's way of preparing for the possible outcome of an extremely tardy delivered and appalling workmanship of an apartment renovation? Well, NOT with DAVID SVANCAR of CONNECTION AND CONTRACTING. Upon countless of interviewed contractors, I stumbled on Connection and Contracting (David Svancar). After he came over to assess the complete renovation I wanted to be performed on one of our floors, all of my nerves seemed to subside, as you can immediately tell, David is not one of those "shady" Contractors. He entered the property, assessed our situation and immediately provided multiple suggestions, a game plan, and told me this project could be done within the time I proposed of 4-6 weeks (pending the arrival of appliances, kitchen cabinets etc...). Previously, other contractors I interviewed were taken a-back when I proposed the 4-6 week aggressive timeline. Some even suggested that they would “squeeze in my project” with other projects. I reject that idea for many reasons. David, on the other hand, reiterated to me many times before and after the start of the project that he will never work on multiple clients at once but only focuses one project at a time to ensure the quality, care/attention and timeliness the project deserves. Additionally, his utmost professional behavior is coupled by the reassurance of his humor, attention to detail, identifying problems and suggesting multiple solutions. DAVID took initiative to enlighten me of ALL the possible ideas to make the infrastructure and aesthetic of my new apartment look amazing. His team would always arrive at the proposed time of 8am-4pm (Monday – Saturday). He and his team worked tirelessly on making sure the project made my family and me HAPPY. I genuinely felt that he was looking out for my best interest and that is all that really matters - an act of Altruism that is easy by definition, but difficult to execute. At the finalization of the project, David met the 4-6 week deliverable (despite the holidays of Christmas and New Years) and provided excellent quality work!! I really hope that you choose DAVID SVANCAR to help guide you in your next choice of renovation. You won’t regret it! I'm already in the works with David for other house projects!

Nick met with us initially and meticulously reviewed our "wish list "and preferences, explaining all of the steps we could anticipate for the entire installation process. , the quality of the siding materials, type of windows and French doors etc. As soon as materials were delivered to the property, work began and continued in spite of very severe winter weather. Nick was always available to answer questions and provide updates. Louis, the on site supervisor was knowledgeable and kept the project moving along swiftly. This is our second time using American Home Remodeling as several years ago they replaced our roof so we had confidence in the company going in. Our house looks great and friends and neighbors have commented on the terrific "makeover". !- Angela H.

Monk's Home ImprovementsIt went extremely well. The new door is beautiful and the workers were pleasant to work with. We needed some work done outside around the door, and the foreman gave us a great suggestion which worked perfectly for us. The banister (for our center hall colonial) was very intricate, and the old stain needed to be hand sanded in several areas and was tedious work. The crew did a wonderful job, and the new stain looks great. The family room and trim needed to be refreshed (this is the room the French door was added to) and it looks like a great job. The painters were very professional, and did a great job, including cleanup. We could not be happier with how things turned out.- Mark S.

The reno included demolition, framing for new roofline and dormers, roof and gutters, siding, new master bathroom, master closet, laundry space, wood floor and stairs, doors, millwork, tiling, masonry for a chimney extension, windows, and central air system. Chris is a great guy, very easy to work with it, trustworthy, and responsive. He hires skilled subcontractors and kept the reno moving at a good pace. Tri-State Window Factory CorpThe team at Tri-State Window Factory just did yet another fabulous install at our home (new storm door and window) and I had to share. They're meticulous throughout the whole process, from sales to measuring to installation, we have always had a pleasant experience with each team. We have done all our windows now at this point and a few doors too. Love it when friends and family comment on how nice they look and how well they're built. Never had any hidden surprises or costs either. The cost breakdown is clearly written up every time which we appreciate.
