"We are very happy with our decision to work with Majid (owner) and Bodee Construction to renovate our basement. Their professionalism, communication and service was outstanding throughout the entire project. Scope of Work: Full gut renovation of our basement which included a laundry room, a full bathroom and adding a wet bar. Pre-construction: My wife found Bodee online and decided to get an estimate from them based on their excellent web reviews. We got 4 estimates and Bodee came in second most expensive. However since Bodee's estimate was so thorough, we knew exactly what was included and not included. This is very important in that if an estimate is not thorough, you might find that as the project moves forward a lot of the work you thought was included, is not, leaving the customer to pay a lot more money down the road. We ended up choosing Bodee after meeting with Majid and basically going with our gut instincts that he was the guy we wanted to work with. The Work: A lot of GCs will wine and dine you until the contract is signed then disappear or barely show up once the work begins. Regardless of how good the work ends up being, this leaves an unsettling feeling and causes much anxiety for the customer during the duration of the work. With Bodee, you can be assured you are dealing with an owner who will show up almost every day and replies back to calls/texts within a reasonable amount of time. His crew generally arrived first thing in the morning and Majid would stop by sometime shortly after to instruct them and to answer any questions or concerns from us. His team cleaned up after themselves every single day and were very professional and courteous. Result: Majid gave us an estimate of 8-12 weeks and we were done on week 12. We are very pleased with the results. As a business owner who strives for excellence and expects the same from a vendor whom we are paying a lot of money to, I expect the same and my expectations were met. "Luis is an all around nice guy, who is easy to work with. I was told 3 days, but the hardwood floor installation took 2 days. Very pleased about that.
However, the crew that installs the hardwood floor, walked all over my new floors without covering/protecting it. Also, they used the power saw indoors (on top of the newly installed floors) even though I have an outdoor deck, so my entire floor was covered in fine sawdust. It would have been nice if they had warned me to move all the stuff on the shelves to avoid it getting dusty or put a plastic drop cloth over my stuff before they started using the saw indoors.
Previously, I had a different company install hardwood floors in another area of the house - they used the saw on my outdoor deck to avoid the sawdust from getting in my house and covered the new hardwood flooring before they walked on it, so I just assumed that's what Argen would do.
The Argen crew cleaned up all the big garbage, but didn't clean up the fine sawdust on all my stuff, so the clean up afterwards was quite a pain. A simple plastic drop cloth would have saved me a lot of cleaning time.
Overall, I'm very happy about how it turned out and looks, price, etc and I really liked Luis. The crew were really nice and polite and knew what they were doing, but a little thoughtfulness would have gone a long way.

Nick was always available via text/phone and answered all our questions throughout the job. They replaced a tiled shower floor and fixed a porch ceiling due to a leak. We were worried about dust with our newborn but they did a clean job and the dust was minimal. They finished sooner than expected and were very detail oriented with the tile work.
