"All under one roof did a fantastic job removing two layers of shingles and installing new roof. The whole team was hard working and completed the job in one day. When they were done my yard was cleaned of all debris. I highly recommend All Under one roof."

"Long Roofing went above and beyond when installing our roof and gutter. The job turned out more difficult than we thought it would be but Long Roofing made me feel comfortable and reassured that they would fix everything. Everyone involved from the salesperson to customer service listened to our needs and treated me with respect. The roof looks amazing. I don't want to get into price, but even though you may get someone less expensive, using Log Roofing was well worth a little extra cost"

"Three weeks ago I decided to replace my 30 year old. I Googled roofing contractors and happened upon Scottâ s Roofing . I started reading their reviews and they were all five star and very complimentary. I called and talked to Sean Nadeau, one of the principals in the company.and he promptly sent a detailed proposal including the workmanâ s Compensation & General Liability insurance certificates. I then called and spoke to Darby Sullivan, office manager and she was very patient while we finalized the contract. Scott â s Roofing arrived on time, stripped and replaced the roof in the most professional way. Kevin, an on-site supervisor was present. Sean also arrived mid morning to check on the progress. The crew worked very hard and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome of the roof installation. I would like to thank Sean, Darby, Kevin & the crew for all of their hard work and attention to detail. This review, like all of the other reviews, merits the five star rating. Use â Scottâ s Roofing â and you will not be disappointed. Henry J. Pagliarulo"

"I HIGHLY recommend Pro Warrior! I've hired them for many jobs already as they are responsive, affordable, and proactive. I had them replace my roof and siding - I am obsessed with the results to say the least. I hired them back to complete a finished basement. Pro Warrior is the absolute best around."

"It went incredibly well. I woke up one morning to a leak in my roof. I knew the roof was going to need to be replaced at some point, but I was hoping I'd get another year out of it. The roof was in bad shape when I bought the house. I immediately started calling all of the roofing companies I could find on Google. It was early so I was leaving voicemails. Kasey from James and Whitney was the first and only one to get back to me in a timely manner. He was incredibly helpful on the phone, walking me through how to put a tarp over the impacted area. He even swung by later THAT DAY to check and make sure it was installed properly and to assess the roof. I knew it needed to be replaced so we went right into talking about estimates. The estimate was within my budget but the new roof came with a FIFTY-YEAR WARRANTY for parts and labor. You just can't beat that kind of warranty on an asphalt roof. We were scheduled within a week and I had a brand new, perfectly installed roof within a month. Kasey and his team were super respectful during the installation. When the installation had finished, Kasey inspected every inch of my property to pick up any tiny bits of trash and leave our lawn spotless. The whole process was so easy and stress-free. 10/10 would recommend!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Copper roofs last an average of around 100 years, making it one of the longest-lasting types of roofs. It’s significantly more expensive than an asphalt shingle roof, but it also lasts three to four times as long, providing great value for the money. You can extend the life of your copper roof by carrying out routine maintenance, like scheduling annual cleaning and roof inspections.

A roof's ability to handle snow depends on its strength and the snow's weight, as wet snow is much heavier than dry, fluffy snow. While designs in snowy regions often allow for 35 to 50 pounds per square foot, a general guideline is that a typical roof can withstand about four feet of fresh snow, two feet of packed snow, or just one inch of ice. Factors like the roof's age, slope, and support structure also affect its capacity; newer, sloped roofs generally hold more weight than older, flat ones. Ice and ice dams add significant, dangerous weight. Because capacity varies, it is best to contact a professional roofing contractor or the original builder to determine the maximum snow load for your specific home.

Yes, materials like cool roofs and solar shingles may be considered.

The most common slope, or roof pitch, for a shed is 4:12 or four inches of height for every horizontal foot. For areas that experience heavy snow loads, a steeper roof of 6:12 or 9:12 is best.

Yes, an underlayment is required for metal roofs, especially when installed over an indoor residential living space. This underlayment acts as a protective barrier between the metal roofing and the roof deck. Common materials include tar, asphalt felt, or woven synthetic polymers. Depending on local building codes, existing shingles in good condition may also suffice. A quality underlayment is crucial as it provides protection against water intrusion, improves energy efficiency through insulation, helps absorb sound, and ultimately extends the lifespan of your roof.
