I have been working on commercial properties such as hospitals, bakery's, multi story condo/apartments, and Restaurants. Also many residential properties. I have a lot of experience in flat roofs, shingled roofs, flooring, siding, trim, and anything else that goes wrong in or outside of your home. I am fully insured and reasonably priced. I come from a family who is well established in property maintenance, I worked for them for 8 years to learn and perfect every type of work that I had to do. I am fully insured and would love to help you with any problems you have! If its something I don't think I can do up to my standards, I will point you in the right direction! Painting a wall involves multiple steps. First, clean and sand the wall to prepare the surface, then tape off any areas where you don't want paint to go. Next, shake or stir the paint in the can, then pour it into a tray. 

Dip a paintbrush into the paint can so that half of the bristles are coated. Use the brush to cut in or make a frame around the edges of the wall. Then, roll the paint roller in the tray, ensuring that it is evenly covered in paint. Roll the paint onto the wall in an "M" or "W" formation, making sure the paint is applied evenly.

When it comes to painting your bricks, you’ve got a few options. Traditionally, lime wash (a mix of aged, burned, and crushed lime and water) was used to whitewash brick or stone. You can also find premixed brick whitewash paint that cuts out a few steps and lets you get started faster. However, for the best results, we recommend using a DIY whitewash (white acrylic paint mixed with water).

A combination of different things will give you the smoothest paint finish. Cleaning properly, sanding, using the right paint and paintbrush, straining the paint, and using select paint additives will all contribute to a smooth paint finish. If you’re not confident in your DIY ability, you can always hire a local interior painter to do the job for you.

The answer to whether you need to clean the walls before painting depends largely on the condition of the existing finish and your desired results. You can often get away with painting bedroom and living room walls with just a dusting and some high-quality paint. However, the best results come from doing all of the prep steps first, including a gentle cleaning.

Bubbles can appear during painting for several reasons, but poor adhesion or trapped moisture are the most common. Painting over dirty, wet, or improperly prepared surfaces leads to air or moisture getting stuck under the paint layer. Using the wrong tools, applying paint too thickly, or working in extreme temperatures and humidity can also cause bubbling. In some cases, incompatible layers of old and new paint types, like latex over oil-based, create tension, leading to blisters and bubbles.
