Very pleased with the work done by Jonathan Fiske. Jonathan delivered the door which we painted ourselves. When it was ready, Jonathan came out within a few days and installed the frame, door and moldings in one day. He also replaced the alarm sensor, made sure proper flashing was installed and took the old door away. He answered all questions that we had. It was a pleasure working with him and would recommend him to others.

My parents patio door stopped working and was hard to lock. I called and he came and repaired the door so it would slide again, and ordered the parts to repair the worn out locking mechanism. Today he installed the repair parts and door works great. He charged for two house calls and parts. My parents are so pleased they did not need to replace the whole door. He was very kind to them and did a great job!

Very pleased! My wife and I were a little particular with colors and details. Jonathan was very patient and helpful. Install was very smooth. He spent extra time to tell me / show me there was no wood rot, mold or insects. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend and/or use Jonathan's services again.

On 3/24/2015 and 5/21/2016, I posted two “A” reviews of this company after Jonathan Fiske installed several doors for us. Based on that good experience and the fact that Jonathan was doing kitchen remodels (according to him and his company website as of January-July 2018), I hired him as a general contractor for my kitchen remodeling. That was a big mistake. Unfortunately, I ignored the “red flag” during the proposal time, when Jonathan refused to include all the necessary jobs in the proposal, saying that “these are small things we would certainly take care of”. But during the project, he either didn’t want or didn’t know how to “take care” of those things. When he came the first morning to demolish the old cabinets and remove vinyl wall covering, he immediately requested the delivery of the new cabinets, without planning the preparation of the walls for panting. He installed my new expensive white cabinets on the unprepared dirty and damaged walls that had many holed, cracks and glue remaining after removal of the vinyl covering. Later, he squeezed rough cement boards between the upper and lower cabinets before tiling the walls. But the wall between the cabinets that had to be painted (according to the kitchen design and the proposal signed by Jonathan) was left unsuitable for painting. Jonathan and his plumber, who served as his helper, gave me a choice of either tiling that wall either painting it skimming, or removing layers of glue and filling cracks and holes. Eventually, I had to hire other contractors who properly finished the job Jonathan was supposed to complete and was paid for. When Jonathan’s electrician installed electrical wall outlets above the countertop with a distance of 63” between the two outlets, I asked to change this, so the distance didn’t exceed 48” as required by the electrical code. Jonathan said that would cost me an additional $240. When I noticed that this was the electrical code requirement, Jonathan said that it’s the inspector’s job, and not mine, to care about the electrical code compliance in my house. In spite I asked Jonathan repeatedly protect the floor in the kitchen and the hall in front of the kitchen, he didn’t do so, and left the kitchen floor scratched and the stone floor in the hall damaged. Most importantly, Jonathan who did my kitchen project in June-August 2018 was opposite to the respectful and polite contractor (same Jonathan) who installed doors in my house in 2015 and 2016. I had a number of other issues with Jonathan doing the kitchen remodel. The bottom line is that I would not recommend this provider for kitchen remodeling or any jobs involving tiling or painting, or as a general contractor for projects bigger than door installation.

This was a challenging job. Our house was built in 1900, and nothing is level or plumb anymore. None of our doors fit or closed properly. Jonathan was great to work with. He was professional, came when he said he would, honored the price he quoted us, though the difficulty of the work resulted in his spending more time than he estimated, and he cleaned up at the end of each day he worked. The end product was doors which look and work great. He managed to make the doors fit into door frames which are not level or plumb, without looking crooked. I would highly recommend him for any door work, or any carpentry work. He is skilled, and very professional.

Jonathan came by shortly after I contacted him, checked out the site, and within a day or so, he sent me a proposal by email. He installed an exterior door into an entry way that I don't think was really designed to have a door, and he did a fantastic job - exactly what I was looking for. But more than that, he is so polite and professional, and someone I would definitely trust to handle any job around the house, big or small.

It took us awhile to find someone to take on this job, but everything got much easier once we found Jonathan. He was responsive to our outreach, and when he came by to review the situation soon thereafter, he advised us that the glass panel itself could be replaced relatively easily and that it would be less expensive than replacing the door (others told us we would have to replace the door). He followed-up with a quote and scheduled the job in relatively short order. He was thoughtful and professional in completing the job. We will definitely hire Jonathan again.

He has been responsive, helpful and punctual throughout the entire project. His attention to detail in his work is top notched. We couldn't be happier with our new doors and are continuing to use Jonathan for a few more doors that need to be replaced. Highly recommend him to others.

It went great. Jonathan is a valuable resource. His friendly, cooperative attitude is exactly what we needed in stressful time, and he was happy to discuss and advise on a range of topics that went well beyond the actual work he performed.

Jonathon was a pleasure to work with from the get go. He was on time for doing the estimate and we were fortunate that he was able to do the work for us on fairly short notice (on a Sunday). He responded to all my email questions in a timely manner. He showed up at the designated time and worked straight through to do the demolition, rebuild the wall and install the new slider. He cleaned up when he was through. Jonathon is a pleasure to be around and he put up with me looking over his shoulder all day and he answered all my questions, both on and off topic. I was impressed with the quality of his work and I will certainly hire him again if I need any work done on my house.

We are very pleased with every aspect of our experience with Jonathan, from helpful information and advices he offered us when choosing a door type/ style, to a quick estimate, to scheduling the job,  and to installation itself.  He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and pleasant.  His quick responds to emails were helpful.  The new doors look and function great. We ended up by asking Jonathan to do an ?extra? job for us: repair an old stair thread in the basement.  He was creative and did an excellent job.  Highly recommend Jonathan to anyone.

The job went very smoothly. The price as quoted was the price we paid. The installed door looks great.

I needed a new door to my basement, but one with a pet door installed as that's where the cat's lav is. And while he was at it, my linen closet door was damage from the years of wear so he said he could replace that as well. Also, I don't paint. Or rather I procrastinate so I asked if the doors could be painted otherwise it would never get done.
He came at a convenient time, he measured, and he sent me the estimate, very reasonable. I sent him the downpayment and a couple weeks later he said everything was ready to install. My problem is that I have two 'excitable' dogs that I have to get out of his, or anybody that comes over, way. He offered to come on Columbus Day that way I could just take the dogs out and wouldn't have to board them while I work.  Jonathan showed up exactly on time, (he gave me a 9AM appt even so I wouldn't have to get up at the crack of dawn which I greatly appreciated on my day off).  He set up in my driveway. I told him I'm taking off with the dogs to a dog park. i came home a few hours later he was gone and my beautiful doors were installed, painted,perfect, pet door and all! (cat not happy as he had it easy for a year). I am happy as this will cut my heating bill tremendously as well.
I am beyond pleased. 

Jonathan got back to me right away.  We settled on a price.  We arranged a day for him to do the work.  He came that day.  He was friendly, open to questions, and he was easy to work with.  The quality of his work was excellent.  He cleaned up after himself.  Without hesitation, I would use him again for a house fix-up job.

Probably the best decision we made when we decided to do this project was to hire Jonathan as our contractor. Jonathan has all the qualities we were looking for in a contractor. Courteous, responsive, trustworthy, thoughtful,experienced, meticulous and very easy to communicate with. He always responded promptly when we had questions and he explained things very well and helped us make the right choices. He gave us daily updates on how the project is progressing and we appreciated that tremendously. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. He was on the job every day of the project even when the plumber, the tile contractor... were working although he didn't have much to do. But as a good contractor he took responsability for the whole project supervising his subcontractors to make sure the job is done to our specification. He doubled check everything with us when the tile contractor was installing the tiles and even drew to the exact size how the tiles will be installed on the walls so there were no surprises. Very meticulous, he pays attention to the smallest details and takes his time to do the job perfectly. He always arrived on time every single day of the project and left the job site clean and neat we couldn't tell that we have an ongoing demolition and remodeling project going on in our house. All of this at a reasonable price for a top quality job. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We have a fabulous bathroom now exactly the way we wanted it. We highly recommend Jonathan without any reservation and will definitely hire him again in the near future for our a next project.

It is going well, actually going on right now. They gave me the quote last September. Now, I like them and I met them in person, and he seemed to know what he is talking about. He basically did what he said he was going to do and I have been happy with him. It was $26.50.
