"Worst experience and lack of professionalism ever. Never seen such poor quality of work. Two month job took almost 7 months. Never came back to my house to fill hole they left under foundation where rodents gained access or return the gravel back there. Used the wrong materials on grading the roads so they're already sinking. Ruined my driveway. Scraped away the stone dust and crushed stone to gain access to side yard. Every time it rains, cheap road sand pours into my driveway, further eroding it, and draining several inches of this sand into my flower beds. Apparently, the $300 it would cost Jake to come back and return the driveway to its original state, is just not important enough to him. I hope it ends up costing him his reputation because I plan on leaving reviews everywhere including social media. Maybe you'll learn something from this experience."

Septic leach lines are buried between 18 and 36 inches into the ground and are at least 6 inches under its surface. Keeping leach lines buried helps minimize odors, and it helps the system utilize bacteria and biological processes both underground and from the air to further treat and filter the wastewater.

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch. So if your well is set up for a high cycle of 40/60 psi, your pressure should be set to 38 psi. If you use a low setting of 30/50 psi, you would set the pressure to 28 psi.

The cost to drill a well varies, but the national average is around $5,500 for a 150-foot well. However, prices can vary significantly based on location, well depth, and other factors, so it's best to research potential fees to get a more accurate cost assessment for your area.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water. 

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.

Getting well water tested costs $100 to $350 if done by a pro. You can also buy DIY test kits for $20 to $100, but professional tests are more reliable. You can get a comprehensive well inspection, which includes advanced water testing, for $700 to $750, which you should do yearly anyway.
