"This was a complicated job comprised of about 30 large trees in adjoining backyards with multiple dwellings in close proximity. The Kucharski brothers, their tree climber and crane operator somehow managed to complete the entire job in one day and left the area clean and undamaged. Very personable and reasonably priced! Would recommend them highly."

"This is an outstanding tree service. We hired them to take down 1 over 100ft pine tree and one maple about 55 ft. The employees of this company were so conscientious about their work and some of the hardest working men we have ever seen. The men who climbed to the top of the 100 ft tree were amazing. The work was done with safety the top priority and quality following. The owner Mario, was here the entire job and ensured the clean up was done as before they arrived. Yes, it’s okay to trim low branches on a tree, also known as limbing up or raising the crown. Arborists recommend trimming 20% of a tree’s leaves per season for two to three seasons. Trimming low branches allows light to flow through the tree, increasing circulation and making the tree stronger and healthier.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

Generally, avoid trimming trees in the summer (with the exception of pruning fruit trees as needed). Trees use a lot of energy in the summer, most of which is relegated to new growth. If you chop it too early, you could stunt the next season's growth. Again, when in doubt, do some research based on the specific tree type.

The best way is to start controlling tree height long before it grows too large, via careful pruning through the years. But that’s not always possible. If a tree has become too high or too large, use selective pruning to remove the most troublesome branches, one by one, without topping the tree. Gently shaping a tree like this can, over time, correct problems. You can also find growth inhibitors to spray on a tree to stop it from growing too rapidly, but use these sparingly if at all.
