"Jeff did a fantastic job on my basement project. He was transparent with cost, on time, and did a great job installing and mudding the sheet rock. He also came back at a a later date to help me install a staircase handrail and spindles. His finish work is excellent! I recommended him to a neighbor for a deck makeover project and that came out great as well - she was thrilled. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Jeff or recommend him to anyone who needs an honest job well done."

"It took longer than anticipated due to the fact that Bob hadn't installed the Trex system before, but he was meticulous and careful, and the deck looks great and keeps the patio underneath dry so that we can enjoy it even in wet weather."

Customers say: Quality work

"This is the best experience I've ever had with a general contractor. Despite irregular sizes and non-square openings, the installation of all 6 doors was perfect. I can't say enough about the quality of Steve's work. It was so good, I kept finding new things for him to do! He was there when he said he'd be, always kept us informed as the project progressed and was very reasonably priced for the exceptional work that he does. I highly recommend him."

"We had mold that another company removed. Todd and Dave at Booth Home repair were very professional during the estimate phase and pointed out a few areas the other three contractors did not see. They were punctual, friendly and had a reasonable quote. They started when they said they would, and treated our house as if it were their own. We are more than pleased with their finished work and would recommend them highly."

"Mike Dickinson has more than just painted our entire townhouse from top to bottom, he has been our right hand man for so many repairs over the years!!! Examples: water damaged our ceiling in our dining area - he repaired and replaced the entire ceiling area flawlessly!! From our door handles and bifold closet repairs - he is “the man”!!"

Matthew is not only a great carpenter he is a very good project manager, ensuring the supporting contractors needed to complete the work arrived on time and performed top quality work. I would strongly recommend him for any construction work needed. I will be calling Matthew for the next project on my list! Excellent job Matthew! Thank you very much!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

A pool heater is worth the expense, given that it can extend your swimming season by several months, depending on where you live. For many, adding a pool heater allows the pool to remain in service from May through mid-October. Even temperatures in the 40s and 50s are tolerable when the water in the pool is heated.

You can find a leak in an in-ground pool by doing a visual check, the bucket test, and a dye test. Keep in mind that skimmers are usually the culprit for in-ground pool leaks. However, if you cannot detect the leak location after running the tests, it’s a good idea to call in a professional pool repair service.

DIY is not recommended due to its complexity. Professional installation ensures proper fitting and longevity.

While you can install an above ground pool on most level surfaces, you’ll need sand to protect your liner from tearing. For example, rocks, plants, and twigs can take a toll on your liner. Adding sand will help level the pool even more. For additional support, you can also use angled foam or a foam pool cove.

The life expectancy of a stock tank pool depends on the level of maintenance that you put into it, but it typically lasts for 10 years or more with regular maintenance and repairs. Regularly testing the water and adjusting the chemical levels, using a chlorine float instead of tablets that can end up on the floor of the pool, lining the pool, cleaning the stock tank, and managing any rust immediately will help extend the life of the pool.
