"Brandon was quick to respond, came out shortly after first contact to give a free quote which was very reasonable. He prepped the walls and installed a beautiful tile backsplash in my kitchen. He was professional, tidy, and detail oriented throughout the project. Highly recommend and will definitely hire again for any future tiling needs."

"This is the second time Iâ ve hired Pablo and his team. They installed 700+ sq ft of tile, installed baseboards and painted. They are very reliable, punctual and professional. The quality of work is second to none and the pricing is very reasonable. I will continue to hire this company for future projects...you will be very pleased!"

"Pat Greenlay is a true gentleman. He came to give me a quote when he said he would; he came to install the tiles on the day we agreed, on time; and he came on the day to finish the job! Very fair price and excellent workmanship."

"Kevin works solo, so the job took about 1 month. During this time we did not have our stove, laundry, dishwasher and our fridge was in our family room. Someone with a larger crew would have finished faster, but the quality of the work is outstanding. We liked the work so much, we hired Kevin to come back and install a glass tile backsplash in our kitchen. Kevin even helped repair a leaking valve in the laundry and the soggy wall it caused as well as install a new vanity and toilet in our bath. I'd give him my highest recommendation."

"This was for a shower that I was replacing, a cheap leaky set-up for a new tile shower, and my father and I did most of the work. We just needed someone for labor to Tile grout work. They were very professional and worked with us based on the work we already did. Highly recommend them"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.
