"It went very smoothly from first contact through job execution. Some neighbors had recommended them as a previous contractor never did the fencing job he had promised. In the end, they were less costly and did a fantastic job."

Customers say: Quick response

"We hired Kevin Riel to install a chain link fence in our yard for our new puppy. We requested a quote based on the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The quote was scheduled promptly. He kept in touch via text and came when expected. He was super easy to talk with, and help figuring out what we needed and discussing the pro and cons of different materials and locations of the fencing. No hard-sell, just solid information. He gave us a place in his schedule of upcoming jobs but let us know he would do what he could to get us in sooner - which he did! Kevin and his son showed up on time and did beautiful work, ahead of schedule. We are delighted with the fence, and with the overall service and value. We will call Kevin anytime we need fencing and would confidently recommend him to friends and neighbors."

"It is hard to find good, honest and affordable handyman who is willing to take up small projects. Junior was hired to fix a broken fence panel. No other person would take up the work because it was too small a job. Junior came in, offered to do the work and finished very timely. He even picked up material for Home Depot and gave me the receipts. I ended up getting landscaping and bedroom painted with him as well. Would definitely hire him again."

"Had demo of Jacuzzi bathtub and install of walk in shower. Work was done quickly and very happy with the final results. Also hired to build a feed and tack shed for horses. Love it! Poured concrete floor and added on to current barn. Looks great."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.

If you’re trying to keep your dog from running away, an electric fence isn’t the only fence type for your yard worth considering. The cost of dog fences can range from $1,500 to $8,000, with popular materials including wood, vinyl, or aluminum to keep your pet safe and sound.

If you’re trying to keep livestock in their pasture, other fencing options include woven wire, high-tensile wire, and synthetic fencing. These options give your animals boundaries without the use of electricity.

Removing fence posts that are set in concrete is something you can't do by hand. You will need an excavator, a strong post-puller, or a jackhammer. If you plan on recycling the concrete base, you may be able to cut the post out with a jackhammer and then set the new post in the existing base. However, it's usually better to remove both the fence post and concrete together. Due to the weight of concrete, you will need a hydraulic removal tool.

The most common hog wire gauge for a fence is 12.5. However, you can choose from a few gauges based on your needs. While 12.5 is a reliable gauge for penning in large, strong animals, 9 gauge is a better option of you have large animals that are easily spooked, such as horses. For smaller animals, like dogs or pigs, you can use a 16 gauge hog wire.

Post depth for shadowbox fences should be at least two feet deep plus an additional foot for every foot of fence height above four feet. For a standard six-foot fence, this means a minimum depth of 3 feet. This depth helps to protect the structural integrity of your fence in the face of wind, soil movement, and seasonal ground shifts
