Apple Roofing is commited to providing the highest quality in our work and materials. We have four estimators on staff. All of us have many years experience in the field. We charge nothing to come out and provide you with an estimate. You will not be billed for anything unless you agree that our company is the best fit for you! We are friendly, respectful and do not pressure anyone. We generally require 1/2 down before beginning a project. We understand that one of the most common frustrations today are contractors that don't call you back. We will respond to everyone in a timely manner! A fun event we help to sponsor: We are sponsoring the annual Beat Breast Cancer volleyball tournament.

"I hired Apple Roofing to install a new roof on my home in Arizona. The first indication of poor workmanship appeared when I noticed nails visibly protruding from the overhangs of my roof. Within just a few months, during a rainstorm, I experienced significant water intrusion into both of my bathrooms through the newly installed skylights completed by Apple Roofing. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the installers failed to reconnect the condensation hose to my rooftop A/C unit. This negligence led to water damage to my one bathroom wood vinyl flooring. Shortly afterward, a heavier rainstorm caused additional water damage, this time to the ceilings of both my guest and master bedrooms. Despite repeated service calls, it took two visits and additional damage to the ceiling before Apple Roofing ultimately identified and fixed the roof leak. I was assured these issues would be resolved by Apple Roofing, yet after eight months of ongoing calls and follow-ups with no resolution or compensation for the damage, I was left with no choice but to pursue legal action. After months of preparing and filing court documents and incurring further expenses, the court ruled in my favor and issued a judgment. That judgment was granted four months ago, yet Apple Roofing has failed to remit payment despite being contacted and provided with all supporting legal documentation. I am now in the unfortunate position of having to take further legal steps, including placing liens on their property, in an attempt to recover the damages awarded. This situation has caused me significant stress, financial burden, and loss of time. I’m submitting this complaint in hopes of not only resolving the matter, but also to warn other homeowners to exercise caution when considering Apple Roofing. Based on my experience, I believe their handling of this situation has been unprofessional and dismissive of their responsibilities. Bernadette Santiago"

Roof Ice and Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

While removing every snowflake from your roof is unnecessary, you should remove a significant buildup of snow. Since snow is wet and heavy, it can easily cause damage to your roof, which can lead to needing costly repairs.

Additionally, when the snow melts but has nowhere to go and refreezes, it can create an ice dam, causing mold concerns due to water leaking into your attic and ceiling. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a snow removal professional to clear heavy snowfall from your roof as soon as possible.

Purchasing a snow blower costs $100 to $2,300 on average. It all depends on the make, model, and age of the machine you choose. You can also go the rental route if you only need your snow blower for a temporary period. Renting a snow blower costs an average of $75 per day from your local hardware store or rental facility.

Removal typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour per item, depending on accessibility and size.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.

If you’re struggling to find anything else suitable in your cupboards, a vinegar and water ice melt makes for a passable quick fix. Just don’t expect it to clear your concrete the way commercial products or rock salt will. Mix equal parts vinegar and warm water and squeegee away the watery slush to prevent more slippery surfaces from forming.
