"AGW, Accelerated Green Works, did a fantastic job from the very first contact with me attempting to gather initial quote information. The excellence continued during the execution of all of the numerous tasks necessary to perform the final grade, install the fence, plan out the sprinkler system, and lay the sod. The spectacular work even continued while finishing the season to winterize the sprinkler system to prepare for snow and ice. Throughout every step of the way, the office personnel were superb with their organization of all of the details. The execution of the final grade and the installation of the fence, sprinkler system, and sod were flawless. They had one installation lined up right after the other installation with various groups of good-working people. I appreciated their work even further when I saw several lawns in the neighborhood go from bad to worse before being redone and then redone again! Our grass was a beautiful green throughout the season. We have a dog, so the fence was perfectly installed low to the grass to ensure his safety. The garden zone for the sprinkler system was a nice add-on for our garden, helping us grow lots of cucumbers, pumpkins, etc. It's also great to be able to control my sprinklers from my phone. The organizational skills of the office personnel, the hard work from the people doing the final grade, sprinkler system, sod, & fence, and the personal approach from the owners, even while they had their baby son born this summer(!), were all spectacular. "these guys were great. They enlarged the gate opening so I could get my new mower and large bagging attachment thru the gate. they were on time and did great work. Probably will have them back in the spring to paint the fence and take care of a Plumbing Issue we have Tom"
"The DPS staff did a great job working with me and my busy schedule. They were on time and did the project in a days time. I was satisfied with the services they provided and would use them again."
While it’s possible to remove a fence post with a truck and requires little physical effort, we don’t recommend this method. You can potentially hurt others or yourself or damage your property or vehicle attempting to take a fence post out with a truck. Instead, use a farm jack or a pole puller to remove the post.
Options include ornamental designs, custom gates, and various finishes. Consult with your installer for customization.
The depth of the fence posts depends on the height of your fence. If you’re installing a 6-foot fence, then digging 2-foot-deep holes for the fence posts will help ensure a secure installation. However, if you’re installing an 8-foot fence, the posts will need to be deeper than 2 feet to support the structure properly. Also, consider how far apart the fence posts should be to provide adequate support.
Do you need a permit to build a fence if you are simply replacing an existing fence? Whether you need a permit in this case depends on your local laws and regulations. Most municipalities consider a fence replacement project as being equal to building a new fence, so you likely will need a permit. Check with your local building inspection department or zoning department to see if you need a permit. If you hire a local fence contractor, this pro can take care of obtaining all permits for you.
If 20% or more of your fence is damaged, pros will often tell you that it’s a better use of your money to replace the fence entirely. Severe rotting and insect damage always call for a replacement. However, if you’re just dealing with a few loose posts or a little bit of mildew growth, you can repair the fence.
