"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"I’ve had such a great experience working with Rick (Rixs Fixs)on multiple occasions. He is always punctual, polite, and genuinely kind, which makes having him in my home a pleasure. His pricing is very reasonable, and the quality of his work is consistently excellent—everything he’s assembled for me has come out steady, strong, and built to last. He’s reliable, respectful, and truly takes pride in what he does. Honestly, he’s everything you could hope for in someone you trust to work in your home. I have attached the 95”-100” fireplace TV stand that he assembled as well as the coffee table and four counter stools that he also assembled. Additionally, he assembled my King size bed frame, which I can’t unfortunately attached because this portal is telling me that the file is too large."

"Brett and Jodi were great since our first interaction. They were very professional, knowledgable and skilled. They took our vision of what we wanted and provided lots of great ideas, putting it on paper in front of us for us to visualize. The project started and completed on time. We were so happy with how the project turned out, which completely exceeded our expectations. After the work was done, Brett reached out to ensure we were satisfied and committed to following through on anything that was missed or we'd like revsited. I’d hire AGW again and highly recommend them to anyone.

"Exceptional customer service. Always on time and if there was adverse weather, they would come check on it to see if they should proceed or not, and would inform me with a phone call. Very detailed, neat and well done lawn care. Snow Removal was outstanding made sure that they always worked all night so that everybodyâ  s would be ready for morning. They always made sure they came back and cleaned up the snow and ice from the street plows. Best Service Iâ  ve had in a very longtime!"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.

Branches, leaves, grass clippings, and landscaping debris are typically collected.

DIY is possible for small amounts of waste. Professional services handle larger volumes efficiently.

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.

If you have a large area of brush and vegetation to clear, forestry mulching may be the best option. This method works well for relatively flat areas that don’t have many large rocks or mature trees to clear. Forestry mulching is a relatively quick process that improves soil health, reduces fire risk, and leaves behind usable mulch.
