A 3% convenience fee will be added to all card transactions.

"My neighbor needed fence work done and contracted with Scot at Absolute Fence. Without notice to her as to when the work would be done they came while she was out of town and took down a portion of that fence. I live on the other side of that fence I came home to find a huge gap in the fence. A section that had not yet fallen down was propped up from my side of the fence with boards from the broken fence ( You can only put them up from my yard...seems like trespassing to me) I have an aggressive 90 pound dog that happened to stay inside the house and a three month old puppy that I had just begun housebreaking, I talked to the polite workers Justin and Derrick asking why no one had rung my doorbell to tell me before the fence came down. I also told them that we were all lucky that the large dog had not come up from the basement where she sleeps and seen them. After two days of having to take my dogs for walks and cleaning up puppy's messes on my carpets because she couldn't go outside using our dog door, the workers came back. I asked to them to tell their boss to call me. Scot called me and when I expressed my concern that he had taken down a common fence and set up a dangerous situation and caused me a great deal inconvenience his response "First Time I ever had a problem with a neighbor." When Scot was asked if he felt any duty to give me notice. "No, your neighbor should have done that" When asked why he didn't put up temporary fencing " We don't do that" When asked what would happen if a child wandered out of my yard "Its your job the watch your kids" When asked what happened if the dog had attacked someone " You should have posted warnings" My summary is that he handled this very unprofessionally."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.

Since wood is weaker when installed horizontally versus vertically, a horizontal fence is prone to sagging. You can prevent this drooping from happening by building a sturdier fence. Use softwoods that are more stable, such as cedar and redwood, or denser hardwoods for your fence materials. If you can’t afford these pricey materials, use thicker two-by-six pressure-treated pine boards or shorten the span the fence boards have to cover by installing more posts.

A split rail fence is not typically considered among types of dog fencing. Many dogs are small enough to slip out between or under rails, and dangerous pests like coyotes can slip in. However, adding wire mesh to a split rail fence can add the security needed for dog safety without compromising the timeless look that makes the split rail style appealing.

Because this composite fencing and deck material is made from both wood and plastic, it’s more durable than either alone. It’s so popular for outdoor purposes because it really does stand the test of time. Heavy rain and high heat won’t greatly change its structural integrity; it can last up to 25 years in total with proper care.

While power washing isn't a requirement before you stain a fence, it can make the job much easier and faster while reducing manual labor requirements. The stain will not work if the wood is full of dirt and dust, so power washing, sometimes called pressure washing, is a fast and effective way to prepare the wood for staining. Remember that you need to stain or repaint relatively soon after the wood has dried so that there isn’t time for dust and dirt to build up again.
