"LMJ owner Luis Jimenez was first class. Competent, knowledgeable and lived up to every inch of our agreement. He installed a 20x20 concrete slab and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. When you accidentally use grout for the corner seams, you end up making the tiles too rigid. So as the wall shifts over time, your tiles have no wiggle room. Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials.
