"Mike installed tile in 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. Since there are only 2 bathrooms in the house it meant a lot of extra time to get one bathroom operating and finished at a time. He was very patient and also installed new toilets and a vanity as part of the job. He is a really nice guy and did an outstanding job! Thanks Mike for a job well done."

"Hire this company. If you have lived in Brunswick or New Hanover County for long you know how difficult it can be hiring anyone reputable and reasonable. These guys are the real deal. The insulation went flawlessly fast. I did my research on what was needed and I got exactly what I paid for. They solved a perplexing electrical issue. The night after installation my kitchen lights stopped working. They came back the next day and after hours of going through attic and switchâ s discovered that a security light on the far right pergola had gone bad. I had another one just in case. They put it up for me. No they didnâ t charge me. They said give them a good review. This is it. I am a veteran and I call it like I see it. Hire these guys. I am already finding more work for them."

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. To make a bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored, medium- to large-format tiles. Light colors such as white, cream, or light gray make a space feel more open, while dark colors, busy patterns, and small tiles can make a bathroom feel smaller. It may seem counterintuitive, but small tiles can shrink a room visually due to the increased number of grout lines. Using medium- to large-format tiles creates a more seamless look. For the best effect, pair your light-colored tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout. You cannot tile directly over hot mop waterproofing because tile requires a smooth, solid surface to adhere properly. Additionally, the shower bed pan needs to be raised and sloped toward the drain to prevent water from pooling. However, you can hot mop and apply a sloped mortar bed over the top (to which the tile can then be adhered). 

There are a few different tools you can use to score tiles. Manual tile cutters or tile scribes work well for scoring in straight lines. Tile nippers are one of the best options for scoring because they can make small and irregular cuts that larger tools may not be able to handle.

It’s possible to walk on a clay tile roof, but you run the risk of breaking or cracking the tiles if you’re not careful, so it’s best not to walk on it if you can avoid it. If you or a contractor needs roof access, be sure to distribute your weight evenly and step on the portions of tile that are also supported underneath, which depends on your tile design. Walking on any roofing material is inherently dangerous, so wear rubber-soled shoes and use safety equipment if you need to access your roof.
