"The owners of the store were very helpful in selecting our flooring. They listened to our needs and suggested flooring products that were the least expensive yet our needs. They two men to install our flooring. Both men were very polite and professional. They showed up on time and worked very hard; they worked throughout the day without a break. The flooring was expertly installed and in a timely fashion. We are completely satisfied with the quality of products and installation."

"Initially it was to be a small job, just tile flooring - - when they took up the old floor then noticed the structural flooring was inadequate so they installed that also.  Unfortunately, everything could not be done in one day and because it seems to be just the two of them it took several weeks for the job to be completed - - I will say they were very nice and professional and did a wonderful job.

"I would definitely hire this group again.  They were professional, friendly and trustworthy.  They quoted a reasonable price, stuck to it and made sure all the punch list items were complete before they left.  The quality of work was very good and they stuck to their time frame.  Again, the best recommendation I can give is that I would definitely hire them again.

"Jeff and his 4 man crew arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. They worked quickly, efficiently and competently. The workers were polite and professional and respectful.
The entire job took only 5 hours and they left my home cleaner than it had been before they arrived. I loved how everything looks.
I would suggest them for any job."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.

Natural stone floors, especially pebble-style tiling, are one of the least slippery options for a shower floor. Natural stone has a texture to reduce slickness, and pebble-shaped tiles add more visual and textural contrast while reducing slippage. Vinyl tiles are also designed with anti-slip texture for added safety. If you have a slippery tile, be sure to add a grippy shower mat to reduce the risk of falls.

The process takes two to four days, depending on the size of the area and your experience level. The first day involves assessing and prepping the existing tile, while the second day is for laying the new tile. This may take longer in complex areas. After letting the adhesive dry for 24 hours, grouting and sealing can be completed on day three. For larger projects or intricate tile patterns, expect the timeline to stretch a bit longer. Also, proper drying time between steps is essential for long-lasting results, which extends the project’s time.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. For example, it’s much better to use unglazed tiles because glazed tiles are more resistant to cracking under extreme heat. Porcelain is more heat-resistant than ceramic, but you can still design the hearth as you like by putting the most heat-resistant tiles directly under the fire and, if it matches your style, add more decorative tiles further from the center of the fire.
