"Pro Painters Plus did an amazing job for me. We had a 20x20 screen porch they enclosed, They installed new windows and doors. They put up exterior siding. Inside they installed trim and chair railing. They painted the exterior and interior and it looks amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

Professionals may use a variety of methods to remove old paint from surfaces, often depending on the size and complexity of the surface. Paint scraping in combination with a chemical paint stripper is the most common method, but experts might also use heat or steam to loosen everything before peeling the paint off. You can paint over cracked paint, but only if you properly sand down the damaged areas. Once the surface is as smooth as you can get it, clean the walls and let them dry before applying a new coat of paint. Painting over cracked paint without sanding or cleaning beforehand will not cover up the cracks and may even make them look worse.

While the above methods will help you remove paint from tiles, you may need to take a different approach to get rid of grout haze. If you’ve recently applied the grout, you may be able to wipe it off with a wet cloth. Otherwise, you can try removing it with a rubber grout float, spraying it with a mixture of four parts water to one part vinegar, or using a store-bought grout haze remover.

You can apply waterproofing over paint, but you won't get as much protection as you would if you painted the surface with a waterproof paint from the get-go. Not all waterproofing methods are compatible with painted surfaces, and they may not adhere well. This is especially true if the paint is glossy, old, or flaking. Waterproofing sealers are primarily meant to be applied to porous surfaces, like concrete, wood, or brick. 

You can remove powder coating with a chemical stripper, in a burn-off oven, or by sandblasting. Chemical strippers can remove most powder coatings in 20 minutes or less. But they are harsh and must be treated with care.
