"Spoke with Chris about the issues we were having with our water. He provided an abundance of information and options. He scheduled for the install the very next day and we couldn’t be happier with the work and professionalism of Paul, the technician assigned to the job. We would recommend them to anyone when asked. Thanks again Chris."

"Triangle Reconstruction is an excellent company.
We were concerned about condensation and water infiltration in our crawlspace following major rain events.
After a site visit and review, Triangle Reconstruction provided a point-by-point action plan and a fair price quotation. They said they could schedule work in less than two weeks and complete the work in one to three days. They met these goals.
The company's various crews and contractors worked quickly and effectively. The homeowner accompanied a company representative on a quality check through the crawlspace at the conclusion of the work.
I had planned to complain to the company representative that the foundation drain crew had been a bit messy -- leaving a truck rut in the front yard, tracking mud and leaving behind small construction debris -- but was told before I brought it up that the follow-on vapor barrier crew had reported this untidiness to management (including photos they took with their cellphones) and did as best they could to clean up the job site. The company representative apologized for the untidiness.
In all, the work was completed for a fair price, to acceptable quality and on time -- before the big rains of Christmas Week 2015 hit.
We are happy with their work and would hire them again, if further services are needed.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Charles "Cee" and his team did a great installing a drain pipe and connecting the drain pipe to my pool to keep the water away from some other areas that we need to keep dry. He was professional, courteous and got right to work. He said they could get it all done in a single day and I was pleasantly surprised when it took them less than a half day. I would definitely hire them again."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

You should not use a water conditioner with a water softener because a water conditioner changes the chemistry of the water and causes the ion exchange in a softener to be ineffective. Choose a water softener if you have hard water or well water, and use a water conditioner if you need to remove certain contaminants.

Generally, it is safe to bathe in yellow water, as the color is often caused by iron, tannins, or rust, which won't harm your skin. Soap will still clean you effectively, though the water might leave stains. However, if the water has an unusual smell or you suspect contamination, avoid bathing and contact a plumber for an inspection. A professional can also help if you find bathing in yellow water problematic and want to determine how to get your water clear again.

Yes, a water softener can remove scale deposits. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, after you add a water softener to your home, “gradually the softer water will dissolve limescale scale deposits and remove the problem entirely.” Installing a water softener—or water descaler—will also help prevent new scale deposits from forming.

The most accurate way to determine whether you have hard water is to purchase a water test kit from a hardware store or send a tap water sample to a lab. But there are some signs you can look out for without professional testing. For instance, if you're consistently dealing with mineral stains on your glassware, windows, and shower doors, you're likely to have hard water. Hard water can also make it harder to lather and rinse soap, so if you're struggling to work up a good lather in the shower, hard water might be the culprit.

Soft water is better for your hair. The minerals in hard water can dry out hair, make it brittle, and leave a film on the hair and scalp that may cause irritation. Hard water also doesn't rinse out shampoo and conditioner effectively, which can lead to product buildup that makes hair look dull and limp. You may also find you need to use more shampoo to get a good lather in hard water.
