"For some time I had noticed large dead limbs in my back yard and I was worried that a limb might fall on someone or one of my grand dogs. I also have two crepe myrtle trees in the front yard by the driveway and they needed pruning.  I contacted Mr. Hutchins whom a friend had used and recommended, and I asked him to come help me determine what I needed done and to give me a cost estimate.  He came promptly and listened well. In addition to agreeing with what I was proposing to have done, he also advised me to remove the Bradford Pear tree close to the front of my house before it got any bigger and became a problem.   He pointed out that because my back yard is fenced in and the access to the back of the house narrow, it would not be possible to bring large equipment into the area to access limbs high up off the ground.  Having a skilled tree climber would be essential.  In order to give me a quote he would have to have the tree man he uses regularly to come look at the trees and confer with him about his fee.  He came by a day or two later and gave me the quote and established that the work would be done the next week. He said it would probably take two or two and a half days to get the work done.  He said he would come by regularly to supervise the job.  I thought his quote was high but I had no prior experience with tree removal and pruning jobs on this scale and I was eager to get the job done right away so I agreed to the terms of his proposal.   He assured me it was a good price and the reviews on Angie's List attested to his integrity and sincerity.  He provided me proof of his insurance which was a key factor for me in making my decision. Witnessing what it required to climb the massive trees and cut  the limbs, and the number of trips made to dispose of the limbs and debris, I decided that I was not overcharged.  Everything happened as he described and I was pleased with the results.
