The first part of the job went well until he charged for a job and did not finish or do the job to agreed specifications. After 4 months of him not doing the job I had to get someone else to fix and finish. The footings were to be 15 X 15 and end up being 8 X 11.

The work consisted of removing and replacing the existing approximately 1500 SF concrete driveway. I received 5 bids; Orr Concrete was significantly lower than the others. Bill Orr and his crew did a great job in every respect. He arrived as scheduled, and he and is crew performed the project in an efficient and professional manner.
I highly recommend Orr Concrete.

Concrete began to crack within a week. Not just in one place but over a dozen places. After I had committed to the price and they had demolished my old driveway and sidewalk, they found it would require more and they upped the price by over 30%. They were not neat in their install and splashed concrete on my siding and garage doors that they never came back to remove even after several calls.

He was recommended by a friend, was very nice when he gave the quote but then proceeded to not complete the job as I asked saying that it was my fault. He ghosted me when trying to get him to finish the job ( he kept saying that was not what I had said I wanted) so I stopped my check until I heard back from him. Even after paying him, six months later he never completed the driveway or did any follow up after numerous phone calls and texts he ignored us. I had even agreed to pay more to finish to my specs.

Do your research and do not hire this person. He took on a project he clearly was not qualified for. Concrete was cracking before the project was finished. Cut corners every step of the way the the point the wall is not even structurally sound. Scammer all the way.

Project: 42?x30? concrete slab with roughly two-thirds being finished for a garage floor and the total concrete ?specifically? being 3500psi concrete. Problems: In the end the pad was installed however, unknown to me (until I called the concrete supplier) the concrete was 3000psi, the garage part of the slab was hand finished and not ?garage floor smooth? (like garage floors are supposed to be), there was some trash left and two forms left in the concrete (untold to me), one of the slab edges are definitely not straight, He stated I needed to pay up to $1000 extra for 5yds of concrete. That?s a-lot of concrete to miscalculate but I understand sometimes that?s how it goes. Resolution:(?) When I notified Bill of the problems he said he did not know the concrete was the wrong type and reimbursed me for the extra concrete charge. As far as the wrong concrete finish, he said that he always does it like that in the winter. And like another post stated the slab ends are not completely straight and will likely need to be cut or else look bad when the building is installed. Consensus: I am by no means a concrete pro, but I know a good job when I see one. He gave me a good price, and he worked with my budget, but if I knew this is how it would turn out, I would have gone with someone else.

If you are looking to hire a concrete company, Orr concrete is your choice! We had a driveway, patio, walkway and stairs done and we couldnâ  t be happier with the results. Bill and his team were punctual, professional, and skilled in their work. Additionally, Bill was responsive and offered reasonable pricing. Based on our positive experience, we would gladly choose Orr Concrete again for future projects.

Bill was great about communicating during the initial part of the project. We ended up getting several homes from the neighborhood involved as we have several projects that people were wanting completed. We had the work done in May and I constantly have puddles in my driveway, really close to my garage door. I had to make updates to my garage door in order to keep the water out. Bill did come out and cut a line down the driveway to help get the water off, but it doesn't detract from the fact that the concrete was not dispersed correctly in that area. Our project was completed in May 2022 and we have many small cracks already and bits of concrete breaking off where they used a concrete cutter (?) to create the lines that separate the sections of concrete - my apologies for not knowing the term. These appeared not even two months after installation. I reached out to Bill several times about these. He said he would come back out, but he never did. A neighbor of mine had significant breaks in the concrete, which he also said he would come out to take a look at and never did. A third neighbor was upset by the size of the addition not being exactly what they had discussed. Bill was really nice at the beginning and the process was really easy, but the workmanship is leaving us wanting after the fact.

Bill was the first person to call after I requested quotes. Without a word from me, he outlined every detail that I wanted to hear from other contractors who offered quotes. He even called at unexpected times to simply stay in touch, share details and discuss an ETA for his team to pour the extended to our existing driveway All their good qualities along with his direct and reasonable price convinced me to choose him. I was so impressed at this point that I told neighbors about him because many of them need/want to extend their driveways. I sent detailed diagrams of the driveway extension project to Bill before receiving a quote. The quote was for $5,962 to cover roughly 1100 square feet, mostly 4 except for 5 thick at the end leading to the back yard. On the day of the project, I walked outside to say hello but I had to remind him of the 5 inchs at the end of the driveway. He also agreed to use a concrete buggy to transfer concrete from the truck to the formed area but when my wife and I returned to the house, after running an errand, we discovered the concrete truck on our driveway. We now have a new crack in our old driveway. When I let Bill know about the new crack he called me a liar. The majority of the new driveway does look good but the last 3 yards had cracks immediately after it was poured and the cracks have gotten worse since it was poured. When I say immediately I mean that his team just left my house and when I turned around to look at the last part of the driveway I found 10 feet of cracks running in a line. Initially, he agreed to replace that area but in the end, he decided to blame me for the cracks. He justified this accusation by claiming that the fiber I requested in the concrete was to blame. The concrete company that delivered the concrete stated that the fiber could have only helped to prevent larger cracks. After discovering the cracks I decided to measure the width of the drying concrete and found that we were shorted between 6 inches to 2 feet wide along a 44.5-foot stretch of the driveway. Bill agreed to reimburse us for the short square footage but never followed up on that statement. Due to the cracks, I have to delay a retaining wall project until the cracked concrete is replaced. After seeing the finished version of my driveway all of my neighbors who were considering Bill have all found another contractor for their projects. I would have overlooked all of these issues if the cracked concrete was replaced but it is been over a month and feel responsible to let everyone know about my experience. Since Bill wont stand behind his work, I have been forced to file a claim with small claims court. Recent quote from a another contactor to replace the crack concrete was for 2300. To give you an idea of how little he cares about his reputation his cost to fix the cracked area would have been around $300. I know this because I have a copy of the receipt from the concrete company. I can not recommend this contractor after the unnecessary drama, baseless accusations and insults, being overcharged for the project, cracks in new concrete, and a new crack in our existing driveway most importantly he did not do what he agreed to do regardless if he said it or wrote it down in the quote.

Hire Mr. Orr if you have all the time in the world. I adjusted my appointment to be available for work several times. The part of the yard where he parked his equipment could have been cleaned up after the job was done. (Leave the grass area like you found it.) Now, the driveway looks very good.. It seems that Mr. Orr and His crew know their job.

Bill Orr and his crew did an excellent job. He showed up on time. And completed the job as promised. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of pouring concrete. Bill was very flexible in allowing us to modify the job as we realized that our initial plans could be improved. I highly recommend Bill Orr to anyone looking for a concrete contractor.

I needed to replace my 85 foot-long driveway. A loblolly pine was situated beside the driveway, easily as old as my 1961-built house (who in their right mind plants pine trees right next to driveways?), and the roots were pushing and cracking the concrete, creating a large bump which made driving on it quite annoying. I also wanted to replace the 3'x3' concrete pad at the back door of the house with a larger stamped concrete patio and replace the front walk and porch. A big job for one house. Bill came to provide an estimate, and I found him to be friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't talk down to me (as a woman, this is very important, and I've made it a point to not hire folks for talking down to me). His price was fair, and he itemized each project in detail in the estimate. I had the tree beside the driveway cut down, and the stump ground down as much as possible. There were still a lot of roots below the old driveway, and Bill's crew did a great job of getting them removed once the old driveway was demolished. Bill kept me updated throughout the entire process and didn't mind me asking silly questions. I absolutely love the new patio, and I'm thrilled that I now have a driveway that I don't have to "4-wheel" it over!

Beware. Bill talks a good game to make you feel confident. The bottom line, he delivers substandard work and does not stand behind it. My quote included a sidewalk and patio extension and a driveway with a drain (he suggested it), colored and stamped concrete, and sealer. At the last minute, I decided that I did not want the color or stamps. I did not request a price reduction, because I felt that was on me for the timing. He arrived at the job without the drain, and proceeded to talk me out of it, verbally promising that we did not need it even though he originally suggested it. We are now at over $1000 less work than promised. I am all about goodwill and fairness with people who do work for me. I would hope that $1000 would buy me some goodwill back. Nope. Our job was poured on July 20. There were a few concerns. Their backhoe damaged a sprinkler head. Slightly leaking, it was sealed under what ended up being only 2 inches of concrete. And they also damaged irrigation wires that I had to repair and also ended up under the concrete. They will be fine. The concrete will plug everything. Really? These guys wont change their schedule to wait for (or pay) other contractors to fix problems they created. After the job was poured, we paid the balance due (another mistake). It looked pretty good. Three weeks later Bill himself came to seal. He used a gloss sealer that was unsuited to brushed concrete. The job looked hideous. I will post the photos on other review sites whenever possible. He tried to tell us this was normal! When we laugh out loud, he came by to look and agreed to remove the sealant in the next few weeks. But he flat out refused to reseal it. After subsequent unanswered phone calls, we decided to get quotes to have the sealant removed and the correct sealant put on. The lowest quote was $2600! Water also pools on the patio where it is now sagging a bit, and Bill is OK with that. Buyer, go to more review sites to get a full picture of this business product and service history. It is not just me. We have a mess that is going to cost thousands to fix, and who knows how the job (and our irrigation system) will hold up in the future! Certainly, we cannot count on any guarantee from Bill, verbal or written.

Bill Orr was very easy to work with. He provided prompt answers to many questions from the time of the estimate until the day after completion of the work. His pricing was excellent compared to others trying to upsell additional services. He and his team were friendly and accomodating when we had a last minute adjustment that needed to be made. We love the patio and have already recommended Orr concrete to others.

This was not your basic driveway pour. The backyard has a lot of slope and required some ingenuity in design. All other contractors said I would need to install at least one step in the middle of a 65 foot patio. Bill (Orr Concrete) was the only contractor that listened to what I wanted and figured out how to make it work. It was a lot of extra work for his team but they executed it flawlessly. WE also had Bill create a lower patio (three steps down from the main patio). This required a lot of fill dirt and rock plus a retaining. We had the guys cover the wall with engineered stone inside and out. There was an issue with the material provided to bill for the colored stamp. Bill took one look and immediately said ; we are gonna re-pour the lower patio. It looks fantastic! This is a testament to Bills attention to customer service and quality. He stayed in constant contact, keeping me advised on schedule (working around rain and such) next steps. I had work I needed to do (irrigation relocation and installation) which he helped me coordinate during the various project phases. As I said, this was a tougher project so if you need a great design for a patio of just a simple driveway install, give Bill at Orr Concrete a call. He will take good care of you.
