- Pearl Pool PlasteringI wish I had checked reviews before contracting with Pearl Pools. This was a nightmare from the beginning. Sales Pressured me into putting down a 50% deposit in October to get the pool resurfaced so I put down 10K. I was never sent samples of tile or plaster colors. I followed up for 6 months and here we are in March and they still have my money and I have no date for the work. I was told ten days ago they processed a refund for my deposit but I have yet to see it and have been paying interest for 6 months now to my equity line for this. The owner, Mitchell Brad Friedlander is a horrible bully and I'm very worried I have no recourse but to sue to get my money back. Stay far far away from Pearl Pools

- Anthony & Sylvan PoolsOverall we very happy with our pool installation with Anthony and Sylvan Pools. Customer service is outstanding. We had no hidden price changes. Someone will always answer the phone or return calls right away. We had some small glitches that I was able to deal with. Subcontractors do not work for the pool company directly so they need to be supervised. Like I said the company reps always answer and are very receptive to customer complaints. Digging is one phase of pool construction that can result in extra costs. The excavator dug into a french flood drain that we thought was outside the dig. You have to negotiate the extra cost to fix unforeseen problems with your excavator. Our excavator could have demanded an obscene price as we would have been hostage. He fixed the problem at a very fair price. Also boulders too big to lift with the backhoe have to be broken up with a special jackhammer that is attached to the backhoe, and this can run several thousand dollars depending on boulder size and time . I was able to rent a jackhammer to break rocks myself and saved quite a bit of money. If you are doing a pool in the triangle area and use Anthony and Sylvan have them bring you for a visit, I'd be glad to show it off

"Communication was great. The house is tall and on a hill. We talked to 3 different companies about doing the work. One company chose not to do it because the house is tall and sits on a hill. Of the other two companies, Total Construction had the best estimate and the people were so nice. I'm so glad they came out to do the work. Each day they cleaned up behind themselves and made it easy for my family to live in the home even though the work was being done. Everything looks so nice now. office hours on weekends. They are only
open during weekends. We drove out there
and there was nobody there within the office hours. As far as installing the hot tub, it went
fine. They pretty much tell you that you
should call before you go out there. They

"It took Backyard Leisure a long to time to complete my pool. In all fairness, the delays were not all their fault. The primary delay was caused by Artful Stonework, the subcontractor designated to do the concrete and stone work. This company failed to show up on many occasions or only sent one worker for a few hours. Backyard Leisure worked hard to get them to complete the assigned work. They finally had to create their own in house concrete/masonry group to get the work done since the subcontractor was so unresponsive. Backyard Leisure does work hard to ensure customer satisfaction.

"Very well. Because the summer is the slow season for pool plaster repair, Scott was able to get our job scheduled and done on time and basically on budget. We needed more plaster removed then originally estimated so there was a reasonable additional charge. Also Scott arranged for water to be replaced. I had an issue with the water company but Scott helped me resolve it
