"Nelson has done a variety of work for us. From popcorn ceiling removal to drywall repair. He has also done LVP flooring and installed a shower. Recently he replaced patio doors for us. Everything he does is of the highest quality. I 100% recommend Redefined Concepts."

Small jobs welcome

"After a failed attempt at installing wallpaper on my own, I contacted Wonderland Wallpaper and Alicia promptly replied. I had contacted several other people that said they could do the job, but Alicia asked a lot of important questions about the wallpaper that no one else asked. That gave me confidence that she knew what she was doing and would complete the task properly. We scheduled a day and time and she installed the wallpaper within 2 days of contacting her! It barely took her an hour to get the wall done and she lined up everything so perfectly that you’d thing it was just one big sheet of wallpaper. I’m very happy with how it turned out!"

Small jobs welcome

"Cabinet refinishing was outstanding and turned into a complete paint job for kitchen, dining room, foyer and living room to include ceilings and all trim(crown, chair rail, windows, baseboard). Outstanding job, pleasant to be around. Helped to pick out colors - a beatiful job very well done. Also installed a tile backsplash that was perfect. Very detail oriented and will do an oustanding job. They will be back to finish the rest of the house later."

"As always Mr. Junior and team did a top notch job. Not only do the walls and ceilings look amazing but he left the room cleaner than when he arrived. I'm always impressed by the care he and his team take to prep the worksite and clean up after they are finished. This is not my first time using Mr. Junior's services and it won't be the last."

"Contractor and his crew did a very good job. There were only a couple of minor issues -they did not leave the gallon of paint that I had paid for and they did not replace the outlet/light switch covers as promised. There was a misunderstanding about the scheduling of the cleaning crew, but it was cleared up."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

To determine how many rolls of peel-and-stick wallpaper you need, measure the square footage of the walls you’re covering and divide that by the square footage that each roll covers. Add 10% to 20% of your total square footage to account for pattern matching or damage while installing.

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.

While many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, they may not adhere as well in humid environments as traditional wallpaper. For best results, choose a vinyl or polyester-based wallpaper, as these materials are more durable and water-resistant. Good ventilation is also crucial to reduce humidity from steamy showers. In bathrooms with high moisture and inadequate ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.

Yes, you can apply peel-and-stick wallpaper over wood paneling, but it requires significant preparation for a good result. Peel-and-stick wallpaper has a weaker adhesive than traditional wallpaper and works best on smooth, non-textured surfaces like painted or primed drywall. Because wood paneling is often textured with grooves, any flaws in the underlying surface will likely be visible after application. To prepare the paneling, you must ensure the surface is free of cracks, holes, and protrusions by filling any indentations and sanding rough spots to create a smooth surface. An alternative is to remove the paneling and apply the wallpaper directly to the underlying drywall or plaster, provided it is in good condition.
