I think Jesse was the guy who helped out the third day. Very hard worker and professional and warm. Also the job was very reasonably priced and I got quotes from 4 providers. "When Johnnie came to our house he took one look at the existing hardwood flooring in our house and said "BUTTERSCOTCH" This after three others said that they couldn't match the existing flooring. Anyhow the next day Johnnie showed up with two pieces of wood that matched perfectly, but informed that it might take a week or two to get enough wood to do our floors. We then settled on a price and signed a contract. After about four days Johnnie called and said that they would bring out the wood to our house Then on thursday they started, and after 3 days I"ve got an additional 1200 square feet of new flooring added to my hose, that matches my old floor perfectly. I'm and my wife are so amazed at the whole crews work ethics. All were very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them to any one that wants the best floor available. If it ever came to be that I needed more flooring you can bet I'd be calling them again. Thanks a million to all Ed"

Yes, installing or replacing carpet yourself is a challenging DIY project. It involves multiple steps, including the removal of old flooring, underlayment and tack strip installation, careful measuring, and stretching the carpet to prevent it from wrinkling or puckering. Expect to spend at least four days installing carpet if you decide to do it yourself.

You should strip and wax hardwood floors every six months to two years. The actual length of time between stripping and waxing depends on the wear and tear that the floors see. Stripping and waxing floors can help repair hardwood floor damage and give the room a fresh look.

Technically, you can start tiling in a corner and work your way out. However, it's not traditionally how tiling is done. Instead, work from the bottom middle of the wall. Tile out the entire row with whole tiles before moving on to the next row. Once you finish installing all of the whole tiles, then you focus on tiling the corners.

Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat.
