"We loved working with the Marcial team designing our lovely stone patio and new stairs. They both turned out amazing and our friends and family have also been wowed by the transformation to our outdoor space. I appreciated Guillermo's commitment to the details as well as constant communication to ensure they were creating exactly what we had envisioned. We are so excited to enjoy our outdoor space more! Thank you Marcial Landscaping!"

"The project went really well. The price wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive estimate I received. Using 8 tons of heavy steps, the crew laid a beautiful walk and steps from our driveway to the bottom of our yard. Then they installed a planting bed and mulched it all. They worked by hand on a hillside for over 3 days. It looks really great, and I know we will enjoy it for years."

"Levi is a very down to earth guy. He responded quickly once I submitted for a consult. The pricing for repairing our damper was very reasonable. Levi was very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend him for your masonry work. We are very happy with his quality of work and the service we recieved."

"The team was amazing. I have had a retaining wall down since the day of Helene. They completed my job in a short amount of time, cleaned up and did a beautiful job in replacing my retaining wall. Very courteous and took great care with my home. These guys worked all day in the rain to get the job done. Thank you!"

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, permeable paving is expensive. For driveways, expect to pay up to $70 per square foot; for patios, permeable paving can cost up to $30 per square foot. Costs will depend on the type of material you choose, plus the standard labor rate in your area.

Yes, pea gravel is good for driveways as long as your driveway isn’t built on a hill or any type of slope where it can slide. It’ll settle on a flat surface and create a suitable driveway over time, though some spreading initially will take place. If you're wondering how to make a gravel driveway in a high-rainfall area, using pea gravel could help you to cut down on costs needed for extra drainage solutions.

Grass pavers are suitable for heavy foot or vehicle traffic, but they’re not as resistant as concrete or asphalt pavers.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.

The layer of polymeric sand under the pavers plus the polymeric sand that gets swept into the joints between your pavers holds them in place in a few ways. For one, the gritty texture of the sand helps lock the pavers together. Polymeric sand also contains bonding agents that get activated by water. Polymeric sand will take between 24 and 48 hours to fully cure, so do not walk on your paver walkway before this time.
