"Cary and her team did a fantastic job on our recently purchased and remolded home. This was more than just house cleaning. There was dust everywhere and the floors were a mess from construction workers. Cary’s team cleaned out cabinets, cabinet tops, windows and blinds along with the basic house cleaning. Basically the house was cleaned ceiling to floor. If you want a house done right, give Cary a call."

"I have never been more satisfied with a cleaning company than I am with Steam Source. The list of services they provide is extensive and exactly what we needed to provide our clients with an extra layer of protection against the spread of COVID. They arrived ahead of schedule, worked very efficiently and were very courteous. They made the entire process so easy and left our 10,000 square foot business in great shape. I highly recommend this company and will look forward to using their services in the future."

"Commitment to a fixed time appointment was a concern as I had to reschedule 3x from original time due to his other work. I was just about ready to give up on him. When he finally did arrive, he did a good job, but we found that there was a lot of soot lingering in the house after he left that required us to wipe down/clean all the downstairs surfaces. This was something we were not expecting nor did he inform us about. As we are looking to convert or fireplace to only use gas logs, I was oversold on the need for a reflector shield, which I believe was overpriced and truly not necessary for a gas log only fireplace; however, he commented that he would mark the fireplace "unsafe" had I not purchased the component. Overall, nice guy with a strong commitment to his profession, so I would recommend him for the work he did, but be prepared for much cleanup after he leaves your home."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

You could void your roof warranty using a power washer if you have a newer roof. With an older roof, you could knock loose older shingles. On the other hand, some people safely use a pressure washer to remove moss from a metal roof. Although you may want to use a pressure washer, the truth is that you probably don’t need it to knock moss loose. A garden hose and brush will do the job just fine and in a safer manner than a pressure washer.

Both bleach and vinegar are effective at killing and removing moss from surfaces like driveways. Bleach tends to have a longer-lasting effect, potentially keeping moss away for up to a year, whereas vinegar may require more frequent applications. However, vinegar is a non-chemical option that is gentler on the environment. A key consideration is the surface you are treating, as both substances can stain or discolor certain paver materials. It is recommended to test the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't cause damage.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

If your home doesn't have gutters, you can still hang Christmas lights on the roof using specialized clips. Use roof clips designed to attach to shingles or fascia. For tile roofs or the edges of the rooftop, consider using parrot clips. Adhesive light-hanging clips are also a great option. It's important to avoid using nails or staples, as they can damage your roofing material. For unique or complex installations, it's best to consult a professional Christmas light installer to find the safest and most effective solution for your home.

You can use a pressure washer to clean a whole host of surfaces. The exterior siding of your house is one of the most popular spots, as well as your driveway, garage floor, patio or deck, and even your outdoor furniture. Just be mindful about the amount of pressure you apply to different materials—concrete can handle a lot more than wood, for example.
