"I hired Cransten to remodel my bathroom. It was getting old and in need of an update. They came in, replaced the floor, built a shower pan, and laid custom tile around my shower. I was impressed with how friendly and professional they were. I would definitely hire them again!"

"I called Five Star Bath Solutions to remodel my master bath, take out my shower/tub combo and install a walk in shower with seat b/c I just had back surgery. The results we received were beyond great! We are so very satisfied with the remodel. Itâ s so much easier for me to take a shower now without help. The floor was the glue that brought it all together, it looks great! The professionalism I received from Greg was top notch, he was on top of everything, made the whole project run smooth. Sean was very prompt, and detailed throughout the project process. Five Star Bath Solutions exceeded my expectations. I love my new bath! Thanks Greg!"

"I had a great experience with Conger Plumbing (Mr. Rooter Plumbing). From start to finish, they were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They showed up on time, clearly explained the issue, and took the time to make sure the repair was done correctly. The quality of their work and attention to detail really stood out. It’s refreshing to find a plumbing company that truly cares about their customers and stands behind their service. I would highly recommend Conger Plumbing (Mr. Rooter Plumbing) to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and professional plumbing work."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

The smartest way to pay for home renovations is usually to avoid interest as much as possible, which makes paying in cash the best option from a financial perspective. However, paying in cash depletes your savings and could leave you without funds for emergencies in the future. If you don’t have the cash to pay for your remodel, home equity loans and home equity lines of credit usually have the lowest interest rates.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.

You can gut and remodel one room at a time. Though the project will take longer overall, there are a few benefits. First, it limits disruptions and allows homeowners to maintain access to a portion of their home while it’s under construction. It also helps homeowners manage their budgets. Not everyone is ready to remodel the whole house at once, and it may be more feasible to slowly upgrade your home over time.

Consider anti-scald features, therapeutic jets, and easy-to-reach controls for tailored comfort and accessibility accommodations.

A bathroom addition project takes five to 12 weeks from the design stage to the end of construction, but it varies with the complexity of the project and your goals. Adding a small half bath takes less time than building a luxurious, high-end primary bathroom. It could also take longer if you need to run new electrical and plumbing in the room.
