Small jobs welcome

"Mr. Ferrell and his son arrived promptly and explained everything they would do. He explained the solution mixture they would be using and type of equipment they were working with. It was very helpful and interesting. They finished pressure washing way before I had expected and it was absolutely superb. They did our driveway which also lead into the backyard attached to a 30’x30’ concrete patio. It was way better than I could have ever expected. Mr. Ferrell was super friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him and his Son to anyone that needs this kind of work. He is definitely a professional. Had his own company truck with signage and all equipment installed on it. BUT, the very best thing I liked about this company was his PRICE! It was down-to-earth reasonable. Not like the ones that try to hike up prices because everything else is going up. Mr. Ferrell will do you right and you will thank me for choosing his company for your job. Trust Me on this!!!"

"Mr Strickland and crew painted wrought iron railing on our back patio. They did a beautiful job! Great communication, very pleasant, efficient, and neat. Mr Strickland even called back this morning to follow up with us. We look forward to having him power wash and repair the brick patio floor!"

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is highly recommended to wash a house's exterior before painting to ensure the best results. Cleaning the surface removes dirt, dust, grime, mold, mildew, and old paint, which allows the new paint to adhere properly and results in a smoother, long-lasting finish. Failing to clean can lead to poor adhesion, peeling, and an uneven appearance. Pressure washing is an efficient method for this, but be cautious not to use excessive pressure that could damage siding or wood. For materials like vinyl or stucco, soft washing might be a better option. After washing, allow sufficient drying time, such as three to four days, before painting to prevent trapping moisture, which can cause blistering or peeling.

Depending on the amount of experience you have with power washing or pressure washing, hiring a professional is likely a better option. Using a pressure washer requires a bit of know-how to avoid damaging siding, trim, roofing shingles, and even the seals on your windows. Holding the pressure washer too close to the material you’re cleaning can cause damage to the surface. You can wash your home’s exteriors with a garden hose, but high-pressure cleaning should be done by professionals.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

It‘s risky to pressure wash indoors, and we wouldn’t recommend it, but following all safety guidelines can prevent the worst outcomes. Always make sure to use an electric-powered machine over one that’s gas-powered, remove obstacles that could cause tripping or falling, and keep appliances like hair dryers and toothbrushes unplugged and out of the way to prevent electrical hazards.

A pressure washer’s size or power is measured in pounds per square inch (PSI). The amount of pressure you need will depend on your project and the material you’re washing, but consumer pressure washers range from 500 to 2,400 PSI. Porous materials like brick and stucco should not be blasted with anything stronger than 1,000 PSI, while you can use a PSI of up to 2,400 to clean a vinyl fence.
