Small jobs welcome

"The Sharon at SouthPark is an upscale retirement community and we had 11 restrooms in need of serious tile and grout cleaning and restoration. I put out a bid request and had 5 responses. I chose MK because of cost, the fact the owner was hands on, and their quick response to bid and start time. They came with a plan, executed it just as I was told and the floors look GREAT!! Extremely satisfied!!"

"Overall they did a good job. They did most things That I asked them to do were done well, except for the finger prints on the doors. This is an old condo and we are moving to a senior living home. Honestly could have gotten the place cleaned twice. They may have not known how big of a job it was and may have scheduled more time for the project."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Yes, polished concrete floors are worth it for homeowners who want durability, style, and low maintenance in one sleek flooring surface. You get the modern visual appeal of stone or tile with far less upkeep and far less cost. Polished concrete flooring is tough enough for high-traffic areas, it’s a great choice for people with allergies, and it’s easy to clean. If your existing concrete is in good shape, polishing it can give you solid value that shines on for years.

Before installing shoe molding, evaluate redoing or refinishing any floors and painting your walls or baseboard before putting on your shoe molding. If you don’t already have baseboard trim, you should install that before adding shoe molding. Shoe molding is the final touch. Additionally, a carpenter or other professional that’s installing shoe molding might also give you a deal on installing crown molding and replacing other trim if you get them done at the same time.

After carpet removal, prepare for new flooring by assessing the subfloor. You will want to address any imperfections to create a smooth and level base for installation. Remember, proper subfloor preparation is crucial for optimal new flooring results. Consider repairing and replacing damaged areas for a stable foundation. For both wood and concrete subfloors, consider sanding to remove any debris or adhesives remaining thoroughly.

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.

Regular cleaning, avoiding harsh chemicals, and periodic resealing extend its lifespan.
