I contacted "Shamrock Chimney" and scheduled an appointment with their lead technician "Tony". He suggested a less costly and safer alternative (steel liner and a resealing of the outer brickwork. The work was performed over a two-day period. I am fully satisfied with the results. One thing I really apricate is the communication during the project. The "front office" would let me know by either phone or email when the project would start, and then Tony and would give me updates. All and all the whole process went smoothly. "The reviews for Joseph and his company (Newtonian's Renovations LLC) were quite positive and we were very impressed with this young man. He went to the job site and saw what had to be done. He appeared to know what needed to be finished and he assured me that the job would pass inspection. On the 10th of July the building inspection came to make an inspection. The inspection failed. The belly liner had holes that had not been repaired and the insulate floor was missing. The vapor barrier was not complete and the inspection failed. i contacted Joseph and he said he would be back the following week. (week of July 11th) Joseph has not come back and he has not returned any of my phone calls. We are at a standstill and we can not go ahead until the crawl space passes inspection. Joseph has not called us at all and we really hate to have to hire somebody else to finish this job but it has been over three weeks since the failed inspection."

Joe takes great pride in his work.  Of course, I'm in a rush to get things done, but after a particularly rainy weekend, Joe completed half my job one day and recommended that I wait two more days to let the bricks dry out as the humidity and moisture in the bricks were making the job look presentable but not right.  Joe wanted to do it right, which I respect.
