"Arrived on time, went to the base of the chimney and identified hole on flashing in less than 10 minutes. Spent about 45 minutes making repairs. Opened small hole in second floor drywall next to chimney chase and identified water stain. Will leave open for a few weeks to test repair. Owner called to check on progress before carpenter left. The primary parts of a house that need framing during construction are floors, exterior walls, interior walls, and the roof. The framing in these areas provides the skeleton for adding other materials over the top. Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.
