"<p>They got the five light switches in the basement down to three, disconnected the mystery light switch, covered several exposed electrical boxes, got the light switch off the ceiling, replaced the 7 florescent lights with simple barn lights, that we ordered, put an outlet in the bath and the kitchen, and installed the ceiling fan and the pot light. then to help with the second floor problem, they installed two extra outlets on separate breakers. "Technician was very friendly and did not fish for upselling. Sloop has always came within a reasonable timeframe when called and even allowed me to come by his home to purchase a capacitor he had. He took time out of his Saturday to meet me and sold it to me at a very reasonable cost. They are just good country guys that are not trying to rip you off. I have several very good HVAC companies near my house but decided to stick with Sloop. The day the technician came by, he was very knowledgeable concerning new systems Trane has came out with and told me the good and bad of each. I like Trane units, it has proven to be very good units and dependable. Every unit will give you issues but regular inspection is a must if you want a reliable system, some of which I do myself but the under the house stuff I leave to the pros. <br />show more

"Chimney had a moldy damp smell coming out of it. They did a sweep and waterproofed our chimney, sprayed solution inside chimney to get rid of the smell and tightened the mechanism the chain hooks in to, to make the chimney damper have a good seal. They taught us how to know when our chimney damper was open and how to open and close it (And shame on us - we did not realize we had our chimney damper open for several weeks which I'm sure also contributed to moisture getting in to the chimney). They were determined to get to the bottom of our issue which involved multiple visits. They went above and beyond for us and we really appreciate them. So far the moldy smell has really gone down - almost disappeared. I am a happy camper.show more
