If I could give them an A++, I would. They were prompt, professional, genuine, and hard-working. But the reason I would rate them so highly is that they discovered something that the original builder (2008), the home inspector, and the previous owners all missed: the dryer was not vented properly! It was vented (apparently by the builder) through the attic and out a roof soffit, not a dryer vent. Thirty feet of dryer vent tubing was completely full and lint was accumulating in the attic. It took a second visit, but they re-routed the dryer vent tubing through roof and cleaned everything.

I initially scheduled an appointment to have my dryer vents cleaned. Kevin arrived earlier than the scheduled time and that was much appreciated (he actually called to ask if he could come earlier). After he took care of the dryer vents, I asked if he could take a quick look at the fan/exhaust in one of my bathrooms and let me know if I could schedule a later date to have those cleaned. Not only did Kevin take a look, but he cleaned them with a smile and no extra charge. Kevin, with Appalachian Air Ducts, is a true professional and I will absolutely hire them in the future!

Kevin was outstanding! He had to do some extra work to find a solution for our pipe issue and it turned out great. We will definitely call him again! We have had other companies clean out or dryer vent but he is by the best we have found.

I had hired Kevin a few years ago to clean out my dryer vent with no problems. This time around, he and a co-worker came out. It took a long time for them to come out to my house because he said his equipment didn't work in the rain. Kevin didn't even finish inspecting upstairs when he said he refused to finish due to mold issues. They didn't clean the dryer vent before leaving. The quote came in a few days later for close to $8,800. This included mold remediation, new ductwork, a new vapobarrier, and labor. I called another contractor to get a second opinion. The second contractor got under the house and took pictures as well. We compared the pictures and there was no mold. I requested a refund for the work not completed last week and am still waiting on a check.

This company knows what customer service is all about! I was able to quickly get an appointment, and Kevin was punctual and professional. He took care to keep my home clean, and was able to diagnose and solve my clogged vent problem. I never thought that dryer vent cleaning was necessary, but after seeing the results I am now convinced. My clothes are dry in about half the time and at a lower temperature. I think I will save enough in electrical costs to more than pay for the vent cleaning service. Will definitely use them again.

The owner came for both services and he was awesome! He did an excellent job, was on time and cleaned up afterward. I was skeptical about the air ducts, but he was here over 4 hours and went the extra but taking all of my grills down and cleaning them which was not part of the service. My house smells amazing and I’m going longer between dusting as well as changing filters. Will do this every year!! Dryer vent was a regular service I have done every year or so, but makes a huge difference in drying time.
