"You can not beat this company in any category. Customer service, work quality, work ethic, or price. This company shows a level of dedication that you do not see anymore. They arrived when they said they would, and finished the job before they said they would. They took the time and cleaned my yard after the project and made sure the fence was clean, no hand prints, no dirt marks. The wife runs the business, and she keeps you up to date on every aspect. The husband, along with his dad and some helpers do the install. They do every action as if it is their house, every time. My wife was home alone at times and I never had to worry about her safety. They made sure to make her feel safe and never uncomfortable. You can not go wrong with this company no matter what you ask of them. Family ran business that cares about ethics and morales."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

If you hire a fence installer for the project, the time it takes to build a fence is about 20 to 30 hours. Tackling the project yourself will take around 40 to 50 hours. It can take longer if you need to obtain permits, level the ground, remove the old fence, or remove a tree.

When it comes to maintenance, vinyl fencing is your best bet for not having to worry about scratches, repainting, or wear and tear from the weather. Vinyl is a material made of polyvinyl chloride (also known as PVC) that can last for years without requiring repairs or maintenance. It’s also one of the lower-cost fence materials to build with.

Vinyl fencing stays popular with homeowners because it’s durable and aesthetically pleasing. In addition to offering plenty of privacy, vinyl fences have a life span of 20 to 30 years with minimal maintenance. You don’t have to worry about these fences warping or rotting due to moisture, and this material doesn’t contain toxic chemicals.

In most cases, wrought iron fencing will cause your property value to increase. Most types of fence—but especially high-quality wrought iron fences—make your home more secure and deter burglars, which adds to property value. Fences can also help keep children and pets safe, which most homebuyers will appreciate. Wrought iron fences are also highly decorative, and while they don’t provide much privacy, they do add to your home’s curb appeal, which often leads to higher home value.

Most people prefer to keep the fence level by “stepping” the fence when running a horizontal fence over a slope. Stepping involves raising each panel between the posts as the fence moves over changes in slope, giving the fence line the appearance of stair steps. While this may be the preferred method of running a horizontal fence up a slope, there’s nothing wrong with installing your fence so it follows the undulations in the ground instead.
