When I was looking for companies, I noted others with the same comment. I described my need and he explained what I needed based on my plot information. A real honest professional. Danny Hunt actually declined the job. He stated it would be cheaper for us to use the original surveyor and the original survey would probably be able to do the job faster than he would as he was working on a number of large jobs at the time. Told us to call ifwe weren't able to arrange for the additional surveying work with the original surveyor. An honest man

He did the survey almost immediately after we contracted him. He provided us with several copies of the map of the property so we had it in time for our closing. We told him we wanted to install a fence for our dog so he installed several stakes around the perimeter of the property so we knew exactly where we could put the fence. I think he did a teriffic job. I would definitely use him again

I contacted or attempted to contact at least two other highly rated surveyors. One responded once and then never again to my request to schedule a survey. The other was booked up for quite a while. Matthew was available, cheaper, more professional, and just better. I would use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of surveying

Mr. Rowles surveyed my property last year and did an excellent job (review posted on Angie's List) and so I asked him to "post it" this year to prevent hunters and trespassers from using the property without my permission. He marked the property with metal signs and purple paint (legal in NC in lieu of additional signs) every 20 to 50 feet. Once again he did an excellent job - I walked with him the entire way. It took approximately 4-5 hours to post the property and his work ethics continue to exceed all my expectations (resurveying the property to make sure the area was well-posted). He is a pleasure to work with. FYI - I offered to purchase the signs and purple paint, which I did (he showed me where to purchase the signs, nails, and paint)

The surveyor was prompt in coming out and managed to squeeze the work in between rain showers which kept our fence install on schedule. He quickly marked the boundaries including a couple other stakes I requested to help get the fence exactly where I wanted it. This is a revision of an earlier report that I had written. I had initially been disappointed after contacting Boundary Zone via their web contact form, and receiving no response. However, once Chris became aware of the error he clearly tried very hard to remedy the situation. Chris helped me in a number of ways by: 1. Offering me a substantial discount on the survey due to the miscommunication, 2. Explaining the survey process to me very clearly since this is the first property I have purchased, and 3. Making a large effort to squeeze the survey into our short remaining timeframe before we closed on the home. Cory met me at the property, and did an excellent job of marking the boundaries, explaining to me where the property lines ran, and helping me decide where I wanted to have the extra stakes. Overall I am very satisfied with the services provided by Boundary Zone, and I will likely use them in the future if I need another property to be surveyed. I can tell that they do genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction, which is not always something you find these days

"Kevin from CDK Geomatics was able to get an initial survey done within 48 hours of my call so we could ascertain the suitability of a 3 acre lot we looking to purchase. As good his word, he called us two days later and let us know the status of the boundaries of the property, then sent over the formal survey a few days later. His office located and documented all the extents of the property, and clearly marked the boundaries and setbacks where our driveway and home will be located.
<br /> CDK was not the first surveyor we called, but turned out to be the best. We had made arrangements with another company a week or so prior based on the recommendation of a friend, and that company misplaced our appointment and put us in a little bind.
<br /> Kevin's survey documented that a neighbor's driveway was built on the land we were looking to purchase. We decided to give the land to the neighbor where their driveway crossed the boundary, and Kevin advised us to take from the neighbor an equal size area so the lot sizes for each of us wouldn't change. In our state, the procedure is called a lot line realignment, and is handled through a complicated application and review process in each county. Our soon-to-be neighbor was very appreciative that we wanted to make sure he could keep his driveway the way it was, and Kevin's staff was very nice to them when they came out to do the realignment. The neighbor agreed to give us a tiny piece of land equal in size to the area he needed from us to put his driveway entirely on his land, and Kevin came up with the plan to make everything legal. He worked with the county to handle all the paperwork for the process, and got it completed quicker than we thought possible.
